Brit's best friend was in a car accident today. She is like my daughter. She will be OK though...stitches and a broken arm and wrist.

Thats right, we didn't have each others numbers. I gave mine to Morrison a long time ago and he accidently purged it. I never had his and I never thought about having a computer that was locked up. The computer is almost new and I never had a minute's trouble with it. When I got here to Amarillo my son-in-law found a driver problem and fixed it. Strange because it was working fine one minute and nothing the next. Luckly my son-in-law is a network administrator so he only took a few minutes to fix it.

I still haven't had time read what I missed. If something is going on I need to know please PM me. I know a lot of you don't like AA, so I don't say much about it; but I went to a meeting here in Amarillo tonight and I almost had to get up and leave. It was terrible from start to finish. If that is what I had to do to stay sober I would be screwed. oh well . . .

Good job oneshot. Doing the first 30 days, I believe, was the hardest part for me. If I had not of had these guys here to help me through it I might never have made it. Stay strong and you will make it.

Yesterday we got a good blanket of snow... It was so nice to take the dogs for a walk in our back bush knowing that all the bears and snakes are gone for the winter.

Bootsie, I'm so sorry to hear about more fires so close to your home... And all the animals that have lost their lives on a count of it.. Too sad

Well, it is finally winter here. Man it is cold outside. Snowed last couple of days, but it is melted already. Guys, I don't say much about AA here because it is unpopular and with me it was a requirement from my head dr. I think there are several reasons people don't like AA. It is very structured and if you don't do what is recommended they think you are doomed. It is very much a spiritual program, and God is the answer for being able to not drink. Even though it is called Alcoholics Annonymous, it is anything but anonymous; so going there is like going public with your drinking problem. Many of the poeple there are there because they are court ordered and could care less about being sober. Most poeple there are like a family because much like us they have a lot in common which only they understand about each other. The best thing about AA is the success rate for people who actually work the program daily is very good; even for people who had almost no chance. I like to go because it gives me someone local I can talk with when I feel I need to. It also gives me a chance to help others combat alcoholism on a personal level, and I am really thankful for that opportunity. Until I got involved with AA, I never realized how many people here were in need of help with alcohol.

enough said on the subject. I better be getting to bed, work is looming.

well, hello alll how are you.... luv bug... i know what it is like to sleep 18 hours a day. been doing that for months sadly. seems like most of this year but but. as predicted these hormones and all they have me on are making me a new woman again. i'm going to hike dogs and work out today they say that first month or two of any anti depressant will have you way tired. so did you talk to your dr. to change prescrip or dosage?
bear. you know i noticed alot of AA bashing. having spent almost 10 years in the rooms and from time to time now there. doesn't really matter to me. it is for those who chose to go there. take what you need and leave the rest. i'm really happy it works for you. i have my aa papa and grandpa that have been there for 20 and 22 years. so i'd say something is working. so whatever.. on the public opinion poll. you know what they say about opinions. lmao

checking in on the fires now actually. we have 40% containment so far which is always a good sign. i will continue to pray for those really kind folks. what a holiday huh? and those animals. bet there is something i can do for the animals this year instead of buying gifts for hubby and me and friends.

I'm so glad to see we have some new members on the board. I love all of you. I really do want to get together. It could be a blast, or down right dangerous. Maybe Bear and I were not supposed to meet just yet. I know I'm not ready. He's way ahead of me in this thing. I would have been a bad influence. I guarantee it. I've been hitting it hard again. Just can't stand myself. I think I'll give myself 1 more year. That is enough. People back in the day didn't live this long anyway.

Hi all,
Well it was back to work today. It wasnt too bad and it rained most of the afternoon. Nibs I want some soup to. Bootsie I hope the fire doesnt get you. Luv hope you can get your meds changed. Hi Bear. Hi Beth. Hi Tex. Hi Cindi. Hi Magic. Kinda bored. Have been working on some Xmas shirts for the kids doing a bit of embroidery. I'm still kinda irritable sort of PMS all the time(sorry guys). Lots of little stuff getting on my nerves like the sound of crunching or the TV or hammering at work. I know if I drink it goes away for awhile but dont want to deal with the hangover. Still, it is very tempting. Morrison I am glad you went to work out. It helps me too. love to all...bird
