    Hi all,
    Just hanging out today. Went to exchange some shoes the kids got that were wrong size. Thank God they were bought here in town. I couldnt tell where they were bought by the boxes and took a chance on the only shoe store in town and that was it. If they werre out of town I would have never found where. Came home and made soup and we are just relaxing with books and gifts. The girls are quiet with their stuff. Nibs sounds like a fun dinner. Bootsie big hug. Luv that puppy sounds fun. Love bird

      Just popped really fast before our movie begins.. "The night at the museum".. I hear it is really funny !! Our visit with Dad and Lyndy was really awesome I'll stop by tomorrow after shopping in town. Hugs, gotta go make some popcorn !!!

        It's me again , That movie is really cute.
        Oh my gosh guys !!! Know what I did !?!?? When I went shopping for Lyndy, I found the most beautiful pair of gold earings... I always buy her earings..She loves it and I love that I can buy her something that she will get use of. Anyhow, didn't her and Dad show up early this afternoon wearing the same earings !!!! That I bought her LAST YEAR !!! Oh my gosh, I loved them last year too when I bought them for her !! Haaa !! Haaa !!!!
        So, now her and I have matching earings, and I will be going shopping for another pair for her tomorrow... Isn't that a Hoot !!?
        Of course Dad had to go out to the barn to say "Hello" to all the critters before heading back home. He's such a silly kinda fella...He and I share the passion for animals

        Luv, I can hear the smile in your posts about your little pup. How sweet !

        And Tex, You deserve the spa treatment my friend !!! Kick back and relax ....

        Give those sweet little girls of yours a hug from all of us Bird xxxxxxxxxxx I think I got everybody.
        I really have a sense of relief that Christmas is over and a NewYear in almost upon us. Yep everybody 2008 is gonna be " O U R Y E A R " !!!

            good to see everyone happy. I am walking pretty good today and feeling pretty good too. It is cold here, but then it is winter isn't it.

              Oh no, we went to albany today and when we got back the landlord pulled up and was telling me that a dog killed one of our chickens but the girls had already found her by then and what a wailing. It was awful. So we dug a hole and they were petting her and saying goodbye and just wailing away their hearts were broken. Barely a tear for their dad but let a chicken die look out, So now we are making a headstone out of a stepping stone kit they got for Christmas. I hate to see my kids in pain but this is life. geez....nibs I saw night at the museum. I liked it. Bear glad you are doing a bit better. Everyone have a good day. love bird

                Bird, please send my sincere condolences to your sweet girls I truley feel for those girls and know that their passion for their pet chickens runs deep. Sometimes, losing a pet, or a family member or a friend is a raw lesson we are all given in life... Oddly I believe that the younger they begin to face these situations the better they are off in the long run. Sad Sad day for your whole family. We all balled like babies when our pet rabbit had to be put down as well when our boys were really young. That was their first taste of the reality and finality of death. We too made a grave and said some words over it. Your girls are so blessed to have such a compassionate shoulder to cry on at this sad tough time. xxx's to you and your girls.

                  Way to go Bear !!!! Mamma Bear had better watch out, you're gonna be chasing that gal around in no time !!!
                  Well, Lyndy loved the new silver earings that I bought her yesterday.. Again, I fell head over heels in love with that pair too... Maybe next year I'll look for the same pair !!! Hee !!! Hee!!
                  Bootsie, Sweetie, I've been saying prayers for your health Hon. The reception is the best out in the barn and I can feel the Lords' love and his guiding hand out there for some reason while I pray out there.
                  Luv, I dreamed last night about puppies. You are in my thoughts even while I'm asleep
                  Tex, I hope that you are enjoying a relaxing day,,, You too More2 !! I think that you were headed to a spa?... Ahhhh ! Nice!
                  Tonight Hubby and I will go over to our neighbours for a big Christmas gathering... I'm looking forward to this visit as I've been soooo out of touch with most of them.
                  Gonna go and do a workout before cleaning up my house... My kitchen is a total mess !!
                  Oh, and today I'm making a huge pot of homemade pea soup with the ham and bone from dinner the other day... I'll be able to freeze some of it for a snowy cold day.
                  Most of our cold weather must be a Bears because it is just hovering over the freezing mark here... It sure is easy on the woodpile though.

                    Nibs,

                    Funny on the pea soup. That is what we are going to do for New Year's Eve dinner. The whole family is looking forward to it.

                    Saved the leftover ham and ham bone to do it.

                    Yes, being a southerner, I should be making black-eyed peas (field peas to some) but of all the legumes, they are my least favorite. Guess I'll still be broke this coming year, too.

                        ah i love pea soup. i even bought peas to make it. but alas i forgot the ham hock. sigh...... well, another day...... hey bear looks like you are mobile. great news. and gosh gosh i'm so very sorry bird about that chicken. i remember when i was little and my pet rooster died. he was killed by the other roosters and i was so sad. but first i had nursed him every nite in a separate pen on the hay. and i laid there with him and slept there. love is so fragile and i know those little ones will need some cheering up as they go. pie usually helps a lot. hey luv bug we removed palups so am creating they are cancer free. and i'm going to go and rest.. love you alll and have a happy friday.
