Well, I typed a long message, wonder where it went??? I typed it last night, it must've gone into cyberspace! Oh well, I just posted I was home, us girls, More2, Boots, Lucky, didn't get to go to the desert, hubby had planned a birthday/anniversary trip that I wasn't aware of, and we barely made due to the flu, and its foaling and breeding season, so I wish I could've gone from Carmel, to Palm Desert, but it just wasn't possible! We had a very laid back, low-key outing, met up with stepson and his girlfriend, just took it easy, did some spa stuff, and did the 17 mile drive down the coast, ate lots of good food, and got some much needed rest! Luvbug, I'm so sorry to hear you've been struggling so much while I was gone! Bless your heart! I'm so glad you and your guy are going to AA together, thats a real positive!!! You are so right, you have to do it for yourself, and for Brit and Zak! That's so funny about our birds...IGGY SCREAMS AND BARKS AT NORMAN the bulldog!!!!! Norman is barking over his toy he wants thrown, Iggy is barking at him barking, and calling his name, driving the dog, and me, both crazy!!!! That bird is something else, talks and tells all kinds of stories! Nibs, hope Cody is eating, let me know if I need to send him some WhupAss supplement with an appetite stimulant! Bear, whew, I'm so glad your SIL is ok! And Boots, OMG, that is so scary about your hubby! Cindi, sounds like you are doing sooo much better, you go! Bird, you sound great too, what do you want to do when you grow up for a new job???.....lol.....I'm still deciding what I wanna be too....lol.....Det., you sound awesome as well! I'm sooooo thankful that I had a sober, happy, hangover free anniversary and birthday....very, very exciting for me, this year, as I predicted, for all of us, will be the best, ok, some rocky starts here and there for some, but looks like we are all on track pretty well now! So glad to have the new folks on here too, we need all the support, and "family" input and sharing, that we can get! I know I've left out alot, but I'm trying hard to catch up...still wondering where my post from last night went....lol.....spooky! Anyway, you are all on my mind, and in my lil ol Texan heart, and definetely I have you all in my prayers, twice a day!

Oh, and I got the most BEAUTIFUL Birthday card from More2 also! She's the bestest ever! Luvbug, you will be ok, I specifically asked the Big Guy to look out for my southern speaking friend...you are like me in alot of ways, it takes being brought to my knees, in lots of ways, for my thick, southern skull to GET IT...thankfully, so far, so good...you are going to be just fine! I think lots of us here, need to make some career changes, seems to be a common "ailment"....I said in my long lost post last night, that we are going to make some changes in our lives here, try to downsize, and simplify, its hard to do, but not doing it, and trying to catch up, keep up, 24/7, is getting harder, and God knows, we're not getting younger around here....lol.....I think pressure is a big trigger for lots of us, and having a lil less, and having alot more sanity, has to be a good thing! Having been sick for so long, sure made me realize to not take feeling good for granted anymore! I can't believe I actually MADE myself sick so many days, whew....I'm soooo glad to feel better, that I sure have realized it was stupid, stupid to be responsible for making myself sick on purpose....not going there again! lol

Glad you are home TIT and that you and hubby had a good time. I think my BF kinda misses his beer in the evening, but he's hanging in there with me. He said we're doing this together. I honestly don't know why he's stuck with me. He's a good guy!!!! He's gonna wonder where these flower came from when he gets here and More2, you kinda have a name that could be a boy name....maybe he'll get a little jealous.....LOL He knows I am on here all the time. He is very supportive.
Bird I might be finding a new job soon too. I am seriously thinking of a career change. This gig has about drove me nuts. I manage 27 people and sometimes it is a bit much. Drives me to drink!!! (my excuse...sorry one I know)

More2, best of luck on selling your home... We watch "house hunters" every morning while having coffee... and also "flipping out"... these shows are about buying and selling homes and condos... A must see for different ideas.. Actually, now I have a "real" linen and small walk-in closet because of these shows...Ha !! haaa !!! I'm surprised that my hubby still enjoys watching with me because then it makes more work for him sometimes... Haa !! haaa !!!
Well, today I went into work at 7 am, so I'll be in bed early... I'm just getting ready to go do chores before settling in for the night. Hugs xxx

Nibs, glad Cody is a-ok, he was probably just bored with his diet, he really did want to lay his head off in that pan of lasagna I bet! Does he eat fritoes or pretzels or drink cokes? Our love human food now and again, our palomino stallion, loves cupcakes and muffins, go figure! Luvbug, you and Bird can figure out a new career path, and you'll be sooo much happier I'm sure! I've been unpacking, and going over 821 e-mails, personal and business, and washing all the socks and skivvies, putting up the stuff in the suitcases, and roasting some pecans and almonds and dates, for a salad with fresh spinach and goat cheese, and I'm pounding out some thin natural pork chops for dinner, they go in an egg wash, then into crushed Panko bread crumbs, with fresh parmesan cheese, and into grapeseed oil, and sauteed until brown and crispy....Pork chops Milanese....lol....then, you squeeze a lil fresh lemon juice over them, and if you want, can dip into a sauce of horseradish mustard....I haven't cooked in so long being sick, that I'm dragging out some old reciepes...I'm heading to the sauna now, I'm pasty and I've gotta detox these old germs and get back right here! The weather is soooo weird, it snowed about 80 miles from us last night, sun is out now tho, so that helps everything! Love to all.....

TIT...Iris, my cockatoo, talks a ton...she'll say BRITTANY come here...Iris out...goodmorning, pretty bird...she is so funny. Sometimes I want her to SHUT-UP! Like right now she is hollering her head off. She doesn't like the dark...we have to leave her light on at all times. Isn't that funny? If you turn the light out she goes nuts.

Good morning loves....I didn't sleep to well last night. Zak has got to get out of my bed. The boy wants to lay right on top of me. 80 lbs.....HELLO, I was getting aggravated with him. He is a cuddler. I like it when I am not trying to sleep. But, there is a time and place for everything,....HA HA He is almost 10, time to sprout wings and fly little one...LOL

I have an idea Luv, You see, at camp if the dogs have just came out of the lake from swimming and we have to leave them unattended in the camp, I put mouse traps on the couch... at camp they are allowed on the furniture... The mouse traps keep them off the couch.... Maybe you should go to your local hardware store and buy a dozen of them.. Put them on the "other" side of the bed for Zak to set off unexpected !!! Yaaa !!! Ouuuu!!!! CCCHHHH !!!! That should send him running to his own bed !!!
Just a thought.
So, today the sun is out in full force and I've already gotten my chores done. Thanks for the warm wishes about Cody xxx He seems just fine now.

Hey all, hope everyone is fine! Funny about the mousetraps Nib.............:H LUV, my son, Zac too........is super cuddly, and we had to cut out his bed-hopping (we called it then) at age 10 or so, he is now 14 and stays in his own, I actually have to pry him out in the AM:H!

Everyone else, if I miss anyone, forgive me, I am just getting the hang of this thread!

My Zak plays baseball too!!! He slept on the couch last night...OK we didn't make it to his bed, but the couch is a good start. He stayed out here all night too. I am looking at him sleeping right now. He decied to cut a chunk out of the front of his hair 2 weeks ago. I wanted to kill him, I said "Zak, you were supposed to do crazy stuff like this at 3 not 9". He is so funny!

Brit she is my girlie girl for sure. They are wearing their eyeshadow so weird these days. She looked rediculous yesterday when I saw her. I told her it was ugly...She DOES NOT care....said I was born in like what the 80's......shit...I was born in 71. LOL If she thinks I am old she must think her Daddy is ancient...he is 13 yrs older than me. She tells him he was a child molester. She is a trip...

Off to the dungeon in a bit...work....love it! I hate my damn job right now. I have been there 8 years and it is the most stressful employment I have ever had. I stay stressed to the MAX all the time. I am seriously considering leaving. I make GREAT money , but I think it may not be worth it anymore. Between home and work, the stress has been so intense for 2 years now, that I have really suffered physically and mentally. We could get by on a lot less money. I looked at my budget and it really could be done. We waste a ton of money. It is stupid. I can't leave right now as we are under audit, but as soon as this is worked through, I am gonna start looking.
