Cindi , I hope and pray that your daughter continues to find "her way out"... with the loving support from a Mom like you, she will do well... I'm so happy that things are moving forward for her.

Oh , and Bird I forgot to explain the temps here... 27 degrees is in celcius, so it would be I'm guessing somewhere close to 78 farenhiet. I'm so happy that you are going back to school... Your girls must be so very proud of you. And think of the positive message you are instilling in their young minds... Good for you !!!

So, tomorrow I will be working at the school ... They have a "spring folly" which has 275 hungry folks for us to feed and water... busy, busy , busy... But fun too.
The fellas are watching Star Wars which isn't my cup of tea all that much, so I crochetted for awhile before coming on the computer...

Oh yaa !!! Our oldest son is being tried out on a job at a concrete plant tomorrow. Hubby bought him his first pair of steel toe work boots.. My baby is growing up... If all goes well he will have summer employment... Our youngest will put his name in at our local township that employs one student to cut grass, paint and odd jobs. We may all be headed in different directions this summer by the looks of things.
Bootsie you sound so good Hon... We haven't been to our camp for awhile now because of the dangerous ice conditions. During freeze up as well as thaw we don't go because of our dogs. I would never be able to forgive myself is they fell through thin ice. Although now it will be all melted but I have to work this weekend. Oh well... I heard that by Monday we may see ice pellets or a bit of snow.. arggg !!! I hope that the weather man is wrong.

hows this for cool: I'm driving on the last stretch home this afternoon listening to "a new Earth" audio books and notice two beautiful bald eagles just 100 yards off the road! I always bring my camera kit with me just in case something like this happens. pictures are posted! I wanted to get closer but they swooped away. The moment was so beautiful I just stood there in amazement even after they were gone.

Wow !!! Det that is truely awesome !!! Along our Highway 17 they made a new section that goes through dense bush... there are a few bald eagle nests and I actually could see that 2 of them were occupied !!! I cannot wait to see the babies excercising their wings... the new earth... hmmm... I heard Oprah Winfrey talking about it and want to check it out... audio would be the way to go for sure...

It's wonderful to see you back and doing so wonderful! I too want to express my condolences to you, but you have the comfort now of knowing she is at peace and you no longer have to worry about her and carry that burden. I have been a lazy poster lately, but I just wanted to pop in and say hello to you and I am smiling reading all of these wonderful postive posts!

Det, the pictures of the eagles are simply incredible. Moments like those are priceless.

Thanks Allie! Just got home from pedicures with my girls...ya'll KNOW I love that. It is my big splurge to myself twice a month. Got eyebrows waxed too........OWWWWWW. Dang it ALWAYS hurts. I have to laugh cause I am such a dang redneck girl.....in the dirt planting flowers and then up there all prissy like. Maybe I have multiple personalities....LOL Mike went out with the "BOYS" last night and poor fella ain't feelin to good today! Better him than me, that is what I say...he he he Think he is regretting that one!
Did I share we are engaged????? He asked me right before my Mama died so she knew. Very special!!!
Bootsie, you stated you wouldn't make the Lenair thing a family vacation...WHY? Is it not a good idea???? I talked to Barry and he seemd like it was OK, but you know ME and you know the therapy. I was thinking we could see Niagara Falls, etc.....

Hi all,
I say we all go to Luvs wedding. What a great time to meet up. I really could go if it was on a weekend. Looks to be about 6 hours away...Cindi you are sounding so upbeat and hopefully things will work out for your daughter this time. Nibs I can't believe its so hot up there. And steel toe boos geez I would have sent him mine. Oh, I cant I have to go back to work on the 5th for the summer. Det, I have been watching some of that New Earth stuff on Oprahs website. Really good and right down my way of thinking....Cowgal, was down in your neck of the woods yesterday but had my kids friend and her mom with me so will holler at you next time......invited my bio-mom down from Alaska for the last 2 weeks of school. I have only met her once but we talk on the phone about every other week. There are alot of things going on with the kids at that time and I thought it would be fun. Shes not sure if she can come cuz my brother is coming home around the same time. She is also worried about her legs swelling in the heat since its up in the 80's now. I'm not even sure I can afford it, everytime I look the prices are higher. I've no doubt if its supposed to happen it will. Dont think shes ever been any further south than oregon. geez....1 week till I go back to work. I went in there Friday and said I wanted to return on the 5th. I drove past the place 15 times cuz I didnt really want to go back,but know I can work my own schedule there while I go to school. Also thought about all that scrap metal they have and all the sculpture I can make for free. Thats worth alot. hahaha. See you soon all...love you bird

Congratulations Luv !!!!!!!!! I'm over the moon happy for you and Mike !! It sounds like you are both going to be so very happy together.... When you come up to Canada, which international border will you be taking? I'm going to guess that if you are going to see Niagra that you will take that border??? We live about 40 minutes from the Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge.... There is a Michigan Sault as well as an Ontario Sault. (pronounced" Soo"- an Indian word)
I would be so tickled to meet you !!! Oh my gosh !!! I cannot even get my head around it !!!!!!!

Having said that we are having such a heatwave we are now burning wood because it is almost freezing at night.. Just a cold snap I hope... Oh it is great to be a Northerner !!!
Aww Bird, I hope that you going back to work makes you happy... Just think about all the things you will learn in class and all the armadillos you can create out of the scrap metal... Haa !! Haa !!! You are truely amazing how you can make such intricate things out of a piece of crap (yep, I meant crap) metal.

Well, I had better get my butt in gear and do my barn chores... Hubby and I spend almost 4 hours out in the horses pasture working on all the fencing.. Milley Mae has decided that the grass is much greener on the lawn, so we had to restring all the electic fence, mend rails etc... She is now happily standing in the middle of her paddock not even thinking of touching a fence that will give her the zap of her life !!!!!!! She tested it and knows it's HOT !!!
