Today I'm off but house work and laundry will sure keep me busy. Did I tell you all that I have a summer job to go to after school lets out? It will be at a cute little tea house on beautiful St. Joes Island. I will be preparing special little sandwiches, salads, scones, etc... It is really going to be a change of pace from what I hear it is a layed back, relaxing environment. I will get every second weekend off and be home by 4:30pm. The teahouse isn't open on Sun, Mon or Tuesday, so I'll just be working 3 or 4 days a week. I can sure handle that
Well, I hope that everybody is having a super-d-duper day
Oh, and all my fellas are going on a "guy trip" fishing this Friday - Sunday... Yahoooo !!! Cornflakes for supper or, maybe tomato soup !!! Hugs, xxx

I'm Back!

Wow....I really needed a vacation! Costa Rico is fab! It truly was one of the most laid back vacation we've ever done, just the 2 of us. We only visited the Northern Pacific region, betw. Liberia, and Playa Hermosa to Playa Panama, but it was incredible. The people are the nicest ever, and so helpful and kind, and very proud you are visiting their country. It was great. Costa Rico is still "back in the day" on lots of things, roads for sure, but they have lots of other positives. It's for sure a put on your shorts, flip-flops and go anywhere type of place 99% of everywhere! We slept, and slept, trying to catch up from foaling season, but it was funny, where we stayed, had no TV, (lots do, we just figured we'd be out fishing etc.)...so, at the equator, the sun sets at 5:30pm, and its dark, lol...so we were asleep by 9-9:30, and but up and out by 7am...which I never do at home! It was that very restorative sleep! We swam, walked along the ocean and beach, and fished, the fishing is awesome! We caught yellow-fin tuna til our arms nearly fell off! They made us sushi with it right after it was out of the ocean, never tasted anything like it, like eating velvet butter! That's FRESH now! Anyway, it was wonderful, and we've already decided to go back in Aug., to the other regions, and the volcano, and the rainforest areas, and check it all out. Its very inexpensive once you get there, their dollar is 500 times the amount of 1 american dollar. I'm so glad to see our LUV back on! I'm also soooo proud of you on your 30 dys, and know you are excited about Lenair! AND ENGAGED....OH WOW! THAT'S SOOOO GREAT! I told you earlier, this is OUR YEAR, ALL OF US! See, even Bird got her kids SS, and now they have options, and she quit a yucky job and is going back to school! Boots is cured, but still crazy, thank God....lol...More2 isn't going to be a granny yet, and is moving to Palm Desert, so I can go spa with her...Bear has a year sober, and so many new fun things going on! Nibs, that job sounds sooooo like YOU! I can just see you in that tea room, making lil sandwiches, and talking to all the folks, making everyone's day so amazing! That is a great place for you to have a part-time job, you'll probably end up owning the place! Cindi, sooooo happy you are doing so well, and I'm sooooo proud of you! Hope you daughter takes your lead, and you will both have the best year yet too! D, and DX, where are you guys? See you went on a trip too?? Hope you had as good a time as we did! I know I'm missing lots, but I'll be checking in on ya'll, I'm trying to unpack, wash, and get reorganized, gotta go take those pics of all the babies for you guys, esp. Nibs! I'm fixing to throw somemore laundry in the washer, and go read by the pool for a bit, gotta keep my Costa Rican tan going in the right direction! Love and missed you all soooo much! Its Bear's birthday???? Happy Birthday Papa Bear!!! What a great way to celebrate your day, over a year sober! That's so awesome! Poor Morrison, that sucks, my e-mail server is down, and has been for days it seems, they are updating, so I'll have so many e-mails from being gone, that I'll never get caught up...supposed to be on any minute now, so I'll holler at Morrison soon as it comes back on, glad he's still doing good on the "plan"....lol....Man, I'm jealous, Nibs and Luv getting to meet up! Luv, we stayed at a boutique B&B on Playa Hermosa, Guanacaste Costa Rico.....La Finisterra was the name, folks moved there and built it 15 yrs. ago, from CANADA Nibs, its hanging on a hillside overlooking the beach and ocean, its basic rooms, AC, and a wonderful chef at the open air restaurant, breakfast is included in the rate, which is cheap, 115.00 per night with the breakfast, and they will make any wish, whim happen for you, all you have to do is ask. Fly into Liberia, Costa Rico...need passports for sure.

I love you guys. I did have my one year b-day sober on the 18th, but my belly button birthday is a long way away. I have been so busy I haven't been on the boards for a while and I really miss you all. I hope you do meet up with nibs luv. She is at the top of MI and tht is about 1600 miles from my place. I have wanted to go up and ride the UP for years. Maybe someday...

Well Papa Bear, how come everyone thought it was your belly button birthday? I love that, I'm going to borrow that phrase! You do sound busy, but you gotta come hang out with those of us that haven't gotten that year in yet, you are my hero, and my inspiration, as well as my support when I flounder! You and More2 are my phone saviors! Well, I thought of LOTS of things to do til 9pm, but by the time I got thru the thought process, we were both snoring! Oh well, I'm back to normal, and energized to heck, and did great on the mods during vacation, just a taste here and there....that Rx scare at the barn, scared me to death, so I'm doing good....whew....remember folks, don't get too tired, or stressed! The sunshine, the change of scenery, and good ol wholesome real sleep, and lots of fresh air, and just a tad of exercise, strolling down the beach, did wonders for me!!! Plus, the food was fresh and light, didn't eat any beef for over a week, it seems to really make you not feel tired or bogged down...think I'll just have it a couple of times a week, or just once maybe! RJ's advice about eating right, sugar, and exercise are right on, the better you feel, the better you want to feel, and not sabotage the energy....plus, its sooooo nice to go to bed, knowing you don't have to wake up feeling bad, wondering what you said or did! Wahhhhhhwhhhhhooooo......
I'm fixing to go see the last foal born while we were gone, the Mama of our world champion, had a filly, and I'm hoping its a champion itself! Thank goodness I don't have to stay up all night again for another year! Now its just getting them fit and halter broke, that always works off a few calories! I'm so glad to be back with you guys, I've missed you....More2, I'm gonna call you tomorrow, I can't e-mail anyone til this dang Hughes.net gets up and running...its crazy, its been out they say since Friday, and its trying to load 20k e-mails when it works intermittently...I've raised hell, but its still not right, and I told them they better delete all those e-mails out, except the past 10 dys....I'd have carpal tunnel if I had to go thru and delete 20k...hell, I would be tempted to drink myself to cyperspace! Love you all tons!

Poor Morrison... I had a bad back problem awhile ago and know how painful it is.. Seems like every single muscle is connected to your back and everything just plain HURTS ! I'll pray that you get relief really soon..

A quick post before I go work out. Last night I was reading the posts before I went to bed. Then I dreamed I was walking to Canada to see Nibs and I had on sandles. The farther north I got my feet got so cold. When I woke up my feet were out from under the covers and it was cold in the house. haha later on bird

After work today I'm going into the Soo for some shopping... Tomorrow I'll be busy making some different salads and muffins for the fellas on their fishing trip. It is still right around the freezing mark at night, so the fellas are bringing a heater and lots sleeping bags with extra blankets. As I put another log on the fire at home I'll giggle as I get to watch "my shows" on the dish...

Happy Wed. all. It is beautiful here this morning. I rode into work without a coat this morning. I believe the wind is supposted to get up this evening and the sand will blow. You haven't experineced a crappy day until you went through a west texas sand storm. One time in high school I went into a theater one afternoon to watch a movie and when I came out it was dark and all the street lights were on but it was only about 3 PM. The sand was so heavy it was blocking out the sun. Oh well... when we have a pretty day it is really really pretty.

Nibs, its hard to imagine its still so cold there! Its beautiful here in Texas, even East texas, and Bear, I've been in those storms out there, its terrible.....BUT, if you go out naked in them, and smile really big, you can get a microdermabrasion/exfoliation, and tooth polishing, all for FREE!!! ha ha ha ha..... The weather is really mild here for us, its in the 50's to pushing 80, usually we go from Easter straight to summer...we went to see the new filly last night, and all the babies were playing and jumping and chasing each other, and giving us kisses....they are past precious and cute....makes staying up to get them here healthy and happy, worth the exhaustion now. We sat on our lil bitty deck and ate and just watched and relaxed with the view. Hope everyone has an awesome Weds., I'm going to pick up my new horse trailer, and go take those pics for Nibs! Love you all!
