PROUD PROUD Mama I am tonight....Zak...as you know is 10...he is pitching this year...first time as he has been in coach's pitch until this season....he struck two players out tonight. I was so excited, I almost started to cry!!!! He looked so cute on that pitcher's mound!!!! My heart is so full right now. I went to Brit's meeting tonight and then over to his game!!!!! I wouldn't have been able to do it drunk!!! I am so completely happy tonight....I even COOKED dinner before we left for all the night events...after a 8 hour work day....I AM WOMAN HEAR ME ROAR!!!!! LMAO

I just saw where McAllen, Texas has called for a voluntary evacuation for wednesday. MA and TIT are about 350 miles further north and somewhat inland from this location. If I remember, MA drove, unless her plans changed, so there should be no problem with flights. I suppose it will all depend on whether Ike changes course and tracks further north. I hope that everyone, no matter where they are heeds the warning and is safe. :h

After work hubby and I enjoyed a moderating "Winey Wednesday". We both have been running in different directions, so it was nice to defrag together and then enjoy a nice dinner.
Tomorrow morning I need to be into work for 7:30, so I'll be tucking in early. Then after work I have to go shopping for groceries... argggg...

Talked to MA, flight is supposed to depart Houston at 7:40 AM friday morning - tomorrow. TIT is on her way home right now, however, guess traffic is a nightmare and it will take her forever because of all the evacuees. MA said Ike is suppose to hit Houston, tomorrow late in the day/PM. Will pray their travels are safe. :h

Hey Nibs, I'm with you....I hate to have to go grocery shopping after work but cannot be avoided since I work on the base (about 1/2 hour away from home) and groceries are so much cheaper.
I remember once I was complaining to a co-worker about having to go to the commissary after work and she said she "enjoys grocery shopping" that it's very therapeutic. So now, instead of trying to rush through, I try to get into a zone and relax while I shop. Helps.
By the way...they don't sell AL at the commisarry
