Sorry for not stopping by in such a long time but I've been so gosh darn busy... A good busy with my garden put in, riding and work, work and more work...

I've had to back up 3 pages just to catch up... Gosh I've missed so much in this last week.
This evening we have the farrier coming to trim up the horses hooves. Maisy has shedded out and looks so pretty (when she isn't covered in mud that is)

Tomorrow we have all the elementary schools coming to our highschool for outdoor track and field... It'll be a super busy day but the weather looks like it should cooperate.
MA, You need to get yourself out of that toxic household sweetie... I'm so worried for you both emotionally and physically. Nobody should have to live under the conditions you are living in. It's not right and certainly is not fair and .... SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED .... Period.
Well, I'll try to stop by more often cause I've really missed you guys.
Good for you hopping back on the ol' wagon Spedteach... We all know how you feel and have been down the same road as you. Myself, I've not been doing so great lately as about every couple days we will sit and enjoy "a glass of wine" Ya right !!! I always end up drinking far too much and feeling once again like crap ! Arggg !

Welcome everybody. This is a wonderful place to visit, chit-chat, vent, confess,etc. I feel really safe, accepted on this site.

Kitty, Can't tell you how many times Antabuse has saved my butt. I take a low dose, half a pill every 3 days, take it at night and I've never had any side effects. That is unless I drink and then, even on a low dose, I feel awful. But sometimes I skip it, start playing games like counting the days until I know I can drink again. Right now it's the drug that works for me. Haven't tried Topomax or anything else.
But hey, I need all the help I can get with my seemingly never ending struggle with alcohol.

I dont say this to scare any of you BUT unless you are real ready to stop and know that taking hat little pill will scare the shit outta ya....do not take antabuse. I damn near killled my self on that shit. I had been on it a month and decided to tempt fate....welll at first all i felt was a red face and my chest got a bit red, well...within and hour I thought I'd die....I am not exaggerating. Some people have died. I take topamax. JUST MY OPINION...

Jury duty can be so tedious. I've done it once. It was a medical malpractice suit against a nurse. When they found out that I used to be a nurse they bounced me.
Do you know what kind of case it is?

The problem for me with antabuse is it takes away NONE of the craving for the alcohol...alll it does is make you deathly ill if you do drink....but it isn't like you get instantly sick....you get sick slowly as you drink. It isnt like one sip of wine and you puke. It just was not for me...i know it works for many, but it can kill you if you drink on it. I survived, but I tell you BARELY...My body literally hurt for 5 days. Just be careful is all I am saying research it please and make sure you are ready.

I just TOTALLY stereotyped the WASP woman, if there ever was one (with a gay son)???!! I was commenting on the convict sitting there in dreadlocks, and the fact that I'd be frightened in a dark alley if I saw him....., got called on it, then the lawyer asked if anynone had any feeling + or~ about it and my big
mouth said," my son is gay".........well they threw me right out of the courtroom!!!
Was kinda fun!!!

Not really but I am DONE with jury duty for the day!!!!

Hey all!

Just checking in and saying hi to all you buddies, not doing that great, but not too very bad either...... Work bites, we are short 2 nurses yesterday, worked 6:30-6:00, am jus exhausted, then stand, so feel bad on top of it.......

Wish me luck today, out to dinner with FIL, then invited to a party at a clothing shop I am good friends with the owner of, she can party......don' work tomorrow and am hxving gum grafts, yikes......... Do not like dentists, but it's that or start losing teeth........don't want that,

Greenie, baseball is over for this year. I checked Monday. I can't remember if I told ya and I don't feel like reading back..LOL

I think we are all kind souls....I think that is what got us here though as well. We give to the point that we hate that we gave so much...so we end up numbing the pain. Just my theory....you don't have to agree, but it seems everyone has a story behind their problem.

Kids finish school tomorrow...YEAH! I think!

Going to Missouri in July to surprise my Dad with a 60th b-day party. All 4 of his kids will be there at the same time. We have not all been together in probably 25 years. He is gonna walk in and breakdown. He will cry like a baby. I will too. Don't know if I ever told you guys, but my Dad is a minister. He is actually a really great guy, but I didn't really get to know him growing up. My Mama made sure to keep us moving around all over the darn place and....yaaaaaaaa not good memories. Anyway, I am very excited.
