I want to chime in on the work situation. My advise is do not quit. In the States, if you quit, you cannot collect unemployment money. Is that the case in Oz?

Also, when you apply for other jobs, don't ever say you were fired/sacked. Your former employer legally can only provide your dates of employment and nothing else. Legally they cannot say you were let go.

I am sorry you are going through this mess. I know it is stressful.
    Hiya Lucky,

Thanks heaps for your response and idea's. Yes, laws are similar here. I think you're right, but i mainly wish to remain firm on principle as i don't believe i've done anything wrong or inappropriate. I'm getting legal advice today i hope and need to respond by wednesday. It'll work out one way or the other. Thanks again, and hope all's good with you over there.

    Morning Roto rooter's,

Wishing everyone further north from me safe passage with the fires.

      xpost. Morning Saucy!

Thanks, yes, i am lucky to be getting great input from a few folks here. 4 mins a day breathing/meditation i agree can make a positive difference, and if nothing else, can start a great habit.

      Have a beeewdy mate.

          Morning Undies
Lucky, I'll google her - thanks.
Happs, I've read that too about the mindful breathing. My goal is to put 10mins aside a day for it.
And thanks everyone, the juicer is out of the cupboard & has pride of place on the bench. Let the juicing begin.

Great stuff Grinder! Grind those veggies baby!

Sounds good Jonesy. Will you polish the chainsaw today?

Work update: Well, just spoke with union rep who agrees that my case notes are appropriate and not opinionated or emotive/untrue etc, and with that i've just reeled orf me written response to manager keeping it simple. They will likely terminate my services soon i'm tipping, and union rep agrees we'll take it to Fair work straya and contest it. Sounds good to me. Pain in the butt, but there we have it. The wheels are now in motion, so let the games begin. I am heartened by the laws which i believe state if i've been sacked, this info can't be given to a future employer? This was my main concern. Ok, no more of that stuff. Boring! Thanks everyone.

            Have a pearler.

Hello! I managed to restrain myself when I came into work today and got straight into working instead of spending the first half hour trawling through web sites!!

Happy, I really like the LIght and EAsy thing - it just works really well for me. The food tastes pretty good, it is good quality and I've been reasonably impressed with how much in the way of fresh stuff they manage to pack in. I only get the breakfasts and lunches, and not the dinners - it saves me a huge hassle of thinking about what to have as all I have to do is grab the little bag that has "lunch day x" on it when I leave the house in the morning. All the dinners are frozen - and I dont have anything against frozen meals, but I would rather eat fresh, so I have a few in the freezer for when I'm feeling lazy but most of the time try to stick to salads and soups at night. And they supply cute little packets of snacks (mostly nuts and seeds) so I am saved from munching through a whole big packet of them because I have no impulse control :H

Yes, talked to RAgs last week - she has been really busy and out and about!!

Hopefully we will finally have broadband at home by the end of today!! Once we do (and now that our IKEA purchases have been transformed from flat packs into fully functioning pieces of furniture) Mr B will start looking for a job - hopefully he wont have too much trouble finding one.

Hiya missy, sorry to have missed you in Sydney, my travelling companion had our i3 days all mapped out. I loved staying right next to Darling Harbour, walking distance to soooo many restaurants.
Right now I'm burning time as my lovely old car is being washed and polished. I have a new door on it,where i damaged the old one, which looks very new compared to rest of car! Nearly 2 grand in repairs, sob, thank goodness for my stepdad who has paid for it. Back home tomorrow, can hardly wait to see my girls again.
Finally spring weather seems locked in, i love the sunshine.

Mr g, i hope your legal advice gives you some benefits in a potentially stressful situation.

So you're living in a 3D world now Missy?:H Sounds like a pop up house.

I miss my dog so much when I'm away Corri. It's ridiculous.

Sounds like the way to go Mr G. Sometimes a trip to Fair Work Australia ends up a very interesting expose'.

Nimbin sounds fun Happs. Real estate going to be part of the excursion is it?

Peeky boo Lucky and Cakes. Good to see the thread livening up a bit.

I'm actually looking forward to it Bridge. Exposeaay exactly. Me union rep reckons it's worth a crack and so do i. I've cc'd our CEO into the shenanigans which may be viewed as inappropriate, but i think it's an essential local first, and trending. I couldn't give a stuff if i'm sacked, but it's important to make a statement saying NO, managements performance is not ok.

I'm getting some good geography lessons through the undies - just googled Nimbin!!

We are going to start a list of places we want to go for weekends away (once our savings have been replenished after our IKEA splurge!). I think I shall add Nimbin to it.

Corrie, I really miss our cats, and the place we are in has a very strict no pets rule. I've been thinking that now that we are getting settled, I might find out about volunteering at an animal shelter or something.

G'day Missy. I tell's ya, there's a few cats around here in my block, you wouldn't know who owns what cat really. A shelter sounds an idea. You may even find after you've been there awhile other residents have found a way around the no pets thing....?

                            Happy settling in.

I think that is true G, but we are living in a very small space on the 4th floor of a large residential complex,so I dont imagine it would be a very happy place for a pet to be. Although I think a goldfish would probably cope :H

Right, I'm off home, where Mr B tells me we have new superfast broadband!!
