Yep, that was my house from late 1991 till we moved almost 4 years ago.

I loved it.... but it swallowed all our money... did lots of renos to it.
The current owners have changed a few things ... they obviously don't like purple. Will see if I can find some old pics of the place for you.

What a wonderful place to live. Not good that it sucked your money. Our place has been a bit like that since moving in.

Here you go Nicey... We had it rendered in purple... most of the neighbours thought it was funky.
We replaced all the old windows with floor to ceiling windows and doors, paid a kings ransom for the concertina doors for the loungeroom, did huge renos on the place,, which the new people have refined.
Might go and see it if its open for viewing and take a couple of piccies.
We bot loved the house. You look out over Bombo at the front, and Saddleback at the back. I really miss not seeing sunrise in the mornings where I am now.

If you look at that garden you'll see a pebble dry creek in different colours (very Buddhisty) and the stones represent the Southern Cross as seen in April if you look straight up from the garden. (Yep, thought you'd like those tidbits of information.)
The miniature red flowering gum is a beauty. I should've taken cuttings with me except I'm lousy at trying to strike cuttings.

It is a very steep block.... which is why we had great views .

Loungeroom facing towards the kitchen and foyer

The bathroom had clear glass window so you could see the sea while you showered. (We didn't have many visitors or peeping toms)

Bastards! I was going to try to take the tiled picky of the bowl of fruit when we were moving.
Mr Rags said to leave it. And they put those horrible white tiles in its place.

This is the outside whower I set up.. hot and cold water, and a fern frond for the modesty curtain...

              The ponds by day.......

                and by night.

View from the back of the house looking sort of across to Saddleback.

and I'll be very surprised if they get what they're asking for it.

So is this place. Still haven't done the ensuite, which Missy will agree needs a bit of a freshen up, and the ends of the barge boards need fixing.... that will cost a bomb as we'll have to get scaffolding.. But our money is getting sucked up with other projects, latest of which is the ute. Getting the drawers fitted in 2 weeks at an outrageous cost. But heaps cheaper than a slip on campo thingy.
Will bore you tearless with pics of that soon.
BTW did I tell you and the other Undies that we FINALLY got the canopy!!!!.

                          Here you are Nicey.
Had it made with a lift up window so we can get stuff in and out easily from the cab end of things, and the other side is a sliding window. Have to organise flyscreen and Velcro for curtains as we'll be sleeping in the back.
Love the ute as I know how much fun we had and places we got to with the old Toyota.
Looking forward to going outback again.
