Sounds a lot like the place I grew up in Nicey.

Especially the spewing, creek dwelling and spider type memories.

Remember we were allowed to play outside and in the shed unsupervised and we lived through it?

I belted the crap out of a kid who belted the crap out of my brother one time and nobody sued. As a matter of fact his mother said he was a little pain in the arse, and if he picked 'em he could fight 'em.:H

    Good times....

Yep - and you could leave home in the morning on your purple dragster, build cubbies in the bush all day long. Although, you HAD to be home by 5.

I once tried to smoke a stick in a cubby we built inside a blackberry bush. The stick turned out to be kind of hollow and filled with ants who went crazy once the stick got lit...... A mouth full of crazied ants fixed me for life so I've never smoked.

Raggsy what's wrong with the house? I love the Turkish rugs in the hallway.

It's also the house I learned how to iron in. Mum let my practice on her petty coats. I was perplexed about the holes that kept appearing as I ironed. Mum went nuts........

And, Donna Bella Wog Dog had a litter of pups under the house, directly behind the back staircase.
LOved this Nicey! Isn't it amazing what distinct memories we have of stuff that went on when we were kids??

(As oposed to the stuff that hapened last week? ) :H

What a lovely bloody read back. A.mazing people with nice things on their mind.

And talk about flashbacks. We walked to school because we'd rather spend the allocated bus money on liquorice blocks. Didn't do us any harm. The 5km round trip made up for purple teeth. We didn't know about Listerine back then - thank fusk, it seems.

And I was always the gangly wog kid with whom nobody ever wanted to trade sangers. I had salami and shit on rye and I.so.wanted to swap with Joyce Holmes who had sugar and lettuce or sauce. Yes. Tomato sauce. On Tip Top White.

Ah ... those were the days ... I take it you're still RESPECTING ME? Good then.

Cleaned out the entire pantry today. Took shut-loads to the tip preparing for "Cooking for One". Should be interesting because the only thing I've cooked in the past two weeks is a fried egg. And the bum nuts are gaining on me ...

                  Bum nut ideas:
                  Frittata
                  Quiche
                  Omelettes
                  Boiled, fried, poached or scrambled
                  Scotch eggs (sounds fiddly)

                  With RESPECT....

Erm ... and who would eat any and all of the above?

I've stretched a bakery-bought snot block over four nights.

Missy - did you ever tell the story of what you saw and was trying to sort in your mind???

I could have missed it, so a quick direct will do if you've already told the tale.

Can I respectfully suggest the 'bulk cook and freeze in portions' for cooking for one Froglette?
Since I did it for so long and all.
