Sierra....um, excuse me...Adina is going to an Ala-Teen meeting tonight at the suggestion of her counselor. Can I just say how darn proud I am of my girl that she has the balls to just walk into a meeting alone? I'm ashamed that I'm the reason she'd go in the first place, but I'm bursting with pride over how strong she is.
Damnit....I wanted to share some pictures but now I am "blocked" from Photobucket...that's a recent development! Nuts.:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Hello all,
Gloomy here...bleh...had major cravings today...lots of self talk about not needing the wine...so far so good and I am going to a meeting at church tonight so that will definitely distract me.
Made taco salad fixins for dinner tonight. mmmmmmmmmmmm No meat and it was very good.
Day 60 tomorrow I would assume was part of the trigger...but I WILL get to 60!!!Comment

Oh come on, Mama... you laughed... I know you did. Glass, thank you; and I agree, why does it have to be so difficult to upload photos? Have a wonderful, safe vacation! Dottie.. forgive me if I don't go back far enough to know this, but I'm a vegetarian; are you? K9, are you kidding? It's not hard to get photos of you... I mean, I just Googled.. Hey maybe that's why you're blocked from Photobucket... it just got too busy in there after "those" photos surfaced... Seriously, be very proud of your daughter to be able to walk into that meeting alone tonight. Good for her; she is definitely showing she's got her mother's "stuff." Everyone else: Kradle, FT, Dream, Pauly (good for you), Gettin (where are you?), and Nora... hope all is well and forgive me for missing anyone...Comment

Dottie, I'd love to go vegan too but although I know dairy isn't good (everyone... please read The China Study) I'd have an awful time giving up that little bit of milk in my coffee every morning. And cheese... oh, don't even go there! But I haven't touched meat in 25 years or so; couldn't eat it if I tried!Comment

Yep I read the China study and a few more books..cheese is my downfall too...milk not so much. I have moved to almond milk. I put that in my smoothies or coconut water. I feel better with no AL and no meat....this is a process too.Comment

Hey Caper. I'm vegetarian too. Do you cook tofu? I only tried it once and it didn't turn out well but I'm ready to try again. I use the Morningstar crumbles in different dishes and I like it. As a matter of fact, I plan on trying Mama's dish with crumbles instead of beef.
Glass - you enjoy your weeks off!! You deserve it!!!
K9 - great job on Sierra going to that meeting. Let us know how it goes!
Mama - been thinking about you so much. So hard with Pop right now.

Just got home from the gym so going to go find some food. This dang prednisone is making me HUNGRY all the time. Not good for my weight loss.

She claims my drinking didn't affect her. I really think talking to other teens is going to help. We live in such a small town...but like I told her, this is different...she is innocent in this situation. When I went to AA I was guilty as charged.:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:
