Hey you all,
Been a long time since I posted here last. Hope all I knew here are doing well.
And to those of you I do not know,you have found a great place and I hope the best for you!
So now for the up date. I'm in LOVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I met a wonderful lady that makes my heart full every time I see her.
Those of you that know me know how devastated I was after my divorce.
I didn't think I would ever allow myself to fall in love again. Then BAMMMMM it happened!
I have always been a "lover" and soooo happy to find that part of me again.
I really missed that part of me.

Now the not so good news.
I had what I thought was a scare with my heart. Severe pain in my chest.
Went to the Dr. who then referred me to a cardiologist.
They did a ton of test and come to find out my heart is fine.
It is my lungs that are the issue.
I only have 30% capacity left!!!
So guess I'm quitting smoking. ( Want to be around for my girlfriend)

Also I guess as more good news.
I had a bunch for blood work done (This was first voluntary Dr. visit in almost 20 years)
All my blood levels were in the Dr's words are "excellent".
Only thing off was Vit.D
Liver and kidney's all good.
No I'm not totally sober (AGAIN !!) but drinking a lot less than before.
So that was a real relief!!!

After MUCH thought all I can take from this is,THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE!!!!!
Even when you are not looking for it!

Congratulations! So happy to hear your good news. I think the last big good news you shared was when you got your new job.

And it is never too late to quit smoking!

I was also severely deficient in Vit D and got on a prescription strength weekly dose. Did the trick and it should for you also.

Bob!!! I missed you! So HAPPY for you!!! I'm glad that your overall health is good...take care of yourself and quit the cigs (I keep trying too so I know it ain't easy!). Now i have to add something lol. I dont want to be just a looker. Congrats on finding yourself a new love Bob. Although i have not met you before you give me hope in that department. I too am a smoker and that is my next quit. Bought one of those E cigarettes and it is sitting looking t me but i am in the process of psyching myself into it. Did it for 5 weeks but got stressed and yep that was it, bit like giving up AL really.

Good to hear from you.
A good decision to stop smoking.... have you chatted to your doctor about it?
Mr Rags still smokes, but I stopped smoking ages ago. Paid heaps for a brilliant programme that worked so well for me.

If your new love is not a smoker, that will make it easier for you.

I to haven't been able to give up my beer totally but like you im sure not drinking as much as before. I don't smoke but i have heard it's a hard habit to kick..good luck with that. Hey you all!!!
Well again my love life has become a total failure!!
We had cross words on the 23rd and by the 24th(Christmas Eve) she was with another man! WTF!!!!
I'm not perfect and and am man enough to admit it. But WTF !!!!!
I AM a GOOD and LOVING man!
I am just really glad it did not take longer and that I had not invested much more of my LOVE into that.
But NO worries she just left the door open to somebody that will truly love me and appreciate the love I have to offer.

On to other things.
No I have not quit smoking but have not given up on the thought of doing so.
This whole thing has set me back a bit.
Lost all my drive to do better for a bit.
But I WILL get it back!!!!

Well, there's a new year here for new beginnings and fresh starts. Giving up the smokes (and the grog) will probably add another 10/15 years to your life. Take care of yourself friend.
