That it does! :egad: Yer wan indoors has OJ every morning and I look at it and shudder... THEN I go and eat my non-GMO organic kale and summat-or-other feckin chips that are FULL of carbs! :H

So sorry to hear bout MrsT Tipps --- I'm sure that was a bit of a shocker for you. I know nothing about diabetes and folks here seem to have good info. so all I want to send is hugs and kisses for ye. I know my BIL had diabetes and once they got over the initial worries he seemed to live a pretty normal existence with changes to his diet.... but that's the full extent of my knowledge....
      Hi to everyone else!
      Hiya Mollers!

My cousin (the one I grew up with)'s husband is diabetic and so are two of their kids, young as 5. ( I had a diabetic cat also (Sean) and a diabetic boyfriend. There's quite a lot of it around. It's our modern diet.

I just read "Wheat Belly" and it was a bit of an eye-opener.

(Unless it's spinach which would be a waste... shove that in the blender.) You also have to drink the juice right away to avoid the nutrients being lost by oxidation.

Have you seen "Fat Sick and Nearly Dead" on Netflix Blondie? That will totally explain wot I'm waffling about. And we all know how well I waffle...

A diabetic has to stay away from fruit I'm afraid, at least till they stabilize. And definitely wheat, corn, flour (which is wheat) products. I love baked spuds but those are high in carbs and all. Everyone thinks "sugar" but carbs are lurking all over the gaff! I'm eating them right now. :upset:

OMG... this Lease is KEELing me. I need another pair of eyes that are better than mine.

Speaking of which... my mam had laser eye treatment (not surgery) on Tuesday and she's over the moon with the results. Only took a couple of minutes.

OK, back to my double screen lol... GAH!
          Just checking.

Makes me laugh when folkses think smoothies are 'good' for them, and they are full of fruit, milk and a whole host of tasty things which are just kcals in a glass..............don't start me on fat coffees.

Net flix can't find that programme you mention. Is it because it's US only?

Na one is coming near my eyes with lasers, been told for me it'll bring on degeneration of reading sight (I'm short sighted) so I'm not going for it.
I used the Sinclair Method to beat my alcoholic drinking.

Bummer. You'd really like it. Maybe it IS only on Netflix in the US but the guy that did it is an Aussie.

            Maybe try Amazon?

(Ya know what... my keyboard has just started squeaking. Now that's a first...)

Not quite, he only missed the first half.

My Nanna had age related diabetes. Suppose if I can get to 84 it'll be the least of me problems.

I think all he was bothered about was getting Breaking Bad. He's got an episode and a half to go.

I'm sure there will be some differences in the UK and US versions but I get a load of UK programmes on the Netflix here so... not sure really.

Why is Molly clearing her stuff out of the bedroom?

And why is this Lease not done?! :H (I took steaks out so yer wan indoors can grill while I finish it up. Who says women don't know a thing or two?) :ey:

Blondie... you may even be able to get it on YouTube? They have huge things on there these days... "fillums" and the suchlike...
