Has anyone gotten a tattoo early in recovery? I really want a new one, an inspiring one, but I'm wondering if would have any negative effect on my nervous system. Thanks

No but if I were you I'd leave it a while before making any permanent changes to yourself - a lot of growing up and character changes can happen in early recovery.I used the Sinclair Method to beat my alcoholic drinking.
Drank within safe limits for almost 2 years

Hey Tom - I got a tattoo on my foot that says 'One Step at a Time'. I had thought about it for months. To me it means that I can do anything - I just need to take one step a time. Instead of looking at the overwhelming big picture, I concentrate on taking one step.
