Question for other females (womens troubles!)

    Hi all

Just wanted to ask you ladies a question about periods. I spent practically every day in March drunk, my period was due beginning of april but nothing has happened yet despite me having the usual symptoms. I am getting a bit worried, would the binge drinking have affected my cycle? ( have been AF for nearly three weeks now)

    Thanks for listening

Ummm... I've never had that problem before. I've aways got them one, may be a little late or early..but unfortunately, they always came.

Hi,well done on being af for three weeks.Alcohol never affected my
periods, apart from using pmt as an excuse to drink.
Lots of things can affect your cycle,if your not pregnant, not eating
properly, stress and worry can really disrupt your cycle. Maybe you
are just late. If you are still worried check with your GP.
Hope all works well for you.

Question for other females (womens troubles!)

        Hi Loussie,

I suppose that would depend on how regular your cycle used to be. Mine has always been all over the place anyway. I wouldn't worry unless your cycle is clockwork...

But how about this? just take a test if you're worried. Is there a chance you could be pregnant (don't feel you have to answer this here!)

          Loussie,
Alcohol never affected my period. It also depends on how old you are. If you are over 40, you may be entering peri-menopause..also if you are underweight, I've heard that can affect your periods..how is your diet?

YES! I did not have mine for 3 months when I was really sick...be careful as that can be a warning sign of major disease. Mine was Pacreatitis and a hospital stay. It is so hard to stop, but your body is telling you something.

                Hi Loussie,

Never had period problems due to drink - but didn't have them for 2 years when I was younger (late 20s) - probable cause then - adjustment to coming off the pill I'd been taking for about 10 years/stress/possibly underweight. You're body's certainly going to go through some adjustments, but may be worth talking to your gyno if it continues?

                Good luck!

Hi, sounds like a Drs. appointment would be a good thing. I really hate going myself, but when it comes to your health a checkup might be a pretty good idea, at least it would give you peace of mind.
