I just spent all this time cleaning my kitchen.. doing the dishes (I left them to air dry)..then my stove, my floors and everything else...

I thought "I would love a glass of Pepsi". I open up a 1.5lt plastic bottle and it started to fizz then literally blew up! It is all over the floors, the walls, the ceiling, my clean dishes, my stove..everything!! The whole bottle!

I just hang my head and my curtain rod falls and the my ivory curtains fall on the floor; in the sticky pepsi.

Does it feel like sometimes you're being tested? I hate when stuff like that happens. I hope your curtains aren't ruined. That sounds like a real bummer.

I hate it when my things get ruined. In particular my nice things. Nice sticky mess. Check under the fridge you don't want to find it there later. Glue Gunk

How do you get rid of that dried up soda? (although it is never completely dry) That stuff is nasty. I've never heard of a good technique for that. Its a bitch once it gets dry.

Son of a B****!! I am a short woman! I am only 5'6.. I have to reach the ceiling and clean that crap up! And I have to do it now (it's 10pm), I cant have my baby walking around in the kitchen with that sugar goop on the floor sticking to her baby toes.

not long ago i was having a bad run we were burgalled had my car stolen various things so i thought ill make a huge pot of minestrone it was so healthy carrots onions poatoes tomatoes every veg known to man i decided to put it into a bigger pot lifted the pan and the handle came off in my hand pow all over me the walls not an inch of the floor was spared i had to jump in the shower cos it was so hot it took 2 hours to clean up so you cry and ill join you

What a cr*p end to a day! But - survive the test, shake a fist, look him straight in the eye (well, as close as you can get at 5'6!) and cheer - you're winning! Good to find a sense of humour at times like this - after a good cry first! Now all you need is to find that the curtains are non-washable, the mop broken, out of paper towels ... Reminds me of the song 'Isn't it ironic' - you know, 'it's a free ride, when you've already paid', ' a no smoking sign on your cigarette break', 'like 10,000 spoons when all you need is a knife'...

Hope tomorrow's better - keep smiling (or mild hysteria will do for the moment:H )

I can relate to your pain! Came downstairs last week in the middle of the night, and the kitchen faucet assembly was leaking water into the cabinet. Had standing water on the hardwood floors for several hours and now a good majority of them are cupped....

They may come back, but I'm guessing I'm going to have to bring someone in to re-finish them.
