OOPs - missed this - Yep Lotus (nice name!) all true I'm afraid - but sporrans are actually for undies in case non-Scottish ladies become too curious.

We Scotsmen do not like to be the cause of marital disharmony or dissatisfaction you see.

Unfortunately though, this often happens when ladies already married to a non Scotsman catch us unawares and get a peek up our kilts!

Hi All in the UK/Scotland ...

      Hi Betty,

As I said before - possibly depending on when / where - I can travel any which way.
Although nearer Scotland wouldobviously suit me better.

Hi All in the UK/Scotland ...

Am I the only person from the South.....London anyone!!

I don't mind travelling to Midlands. I sure there are some good train connections from London Victoria.

(BTW I chose the name Lotus as I went for a psychic reading and was told my mum was there holding a lotus flower to give to me....)

Would that be Whitby in North Yorkshire or Whitby in Cheshire?

I assume Cheshire - I am 370 miles away by road - about 5 hours driving time according to my hi tech GPS thingy!

Hi All in the UK/Scotland ...

OK That makes a bit of difference, I am now only 323.5 miles away by road - but strangely - due to the roads - now 5 hours 45 minutes drive away!

As I say - I can investigate alternative methods of transport too.

Hi Julia, welcome to the site. I'm not exactly an expert as I have only been here for just over a week although I had been dipping in and out as a guest. Is there anything particular you want to know? I'll try my best to help. Everyone is so helpful, so full of encouragement and support and above all, care.
