hey, so i'm gonna eat chicken stew, have a flapjack, watch modern family and drink tea. hardcore.

basically JC been having alot of time alone to think - not a good thing, just found out my scholarship doesn't actually benefit me so I'll still be living off of about ?20 a week next term, and my mothers response to this is? there're food banks. fantastic support there. so just really not happy with life right now.

Gawd Zens the rules change every 10 minutes for student finance. We've been out of that nightmare for 6 years now.

First things first, Inchy, your Uni will have a Student Finance Officer. Get an appointment now or tomorrow and get a good book and get to Citizen's Advice (they'll have a fecking long queue.....that's what the book's for to stop you getting bored).

its fine JC, i've been living off of ?20 a week (minus travel which is ridiculous) since i got here, it is possible, just a real bummer as i was hoping to switch from value noodles n soups to normal food (things that cost more than ?1 for dinner xD) just disappointed by the whole situation really

Ahh bless you, darling, but at least you know there's help there.

Living up in Noocastle we have a right load of la-de-da students who think shopping at Waitrose is beneath them. Doesn't half hack me off.

I know we were lucky enough to be able to give a little bit of support to our two but they both had to get jobs as well.

ahh i do ok, i have soup or microwave noodles or pasta, sandwiches n cereal, i make the budget stretch to tea and coffee, the wife buys me kit kats when i go home on the weekend, it's not too bad yet, i just worry about stuff later on with materials for projects - i have some cash in savings but it's reserved for getting married n other frivolous things. really the upset is more from the injustice than the financial issue. I'm trying to avoid getting a job so i can keep up with the course, i'm really struggling already to make up the work load, a job would just finish me i think. sorry to worry all you guys, i'm back to being sensible now, be seeing in 60 days af tomorrow (and over 2 weeks since i gave up cigarettes too!)
