    Funeral Music

Oh goody, goody, goody. Love all the musical threads. Best/worst/weddings/dance ... so how about your own funeral? What would you like played?

    1. I request someone with a really bad voice to sing "Wish me luck as you wave me good-bye"

    2. I'd like the funeral director dude to play Tracy Chapman "Give me one reason to stay here"

and, for all the people who really love me, I'd like the Largo, by Dvorac.

Not that I'm planning to be the subject of a funeral in the near future .... just something to contemplate ...

I played "He Stopped Loving her Today" George jones, "When I Get Where I'm Going" Brad Paisley and Dolly Parton, and to end it on a happy note "Billy's Got His Beer Goggles On" Neal Mccoy at Billy's funeral. everyone was crying their eyes out til the last song and it is so funny you can't help but sing anf laugh. Mom son , who was 7 then....was crying so hard...that song came on he sat straight up and sang and smiled.
I am not sure what I want played at mine, but I agree with Macks...whatever it is...I want BIg tears. LOL

No funeral music for this tree-hugger....

Plan on being cremated and having my ashes spread at sea. Nature will provide all the music!!

The party thing I am all for. In that case, they can play a Jimmy Buffett medley for me, and can start with Cheeseburger in Paradise!

In the movie: To Die For (satire on Pamela Smart case w/Juaduin Phoenix/Nicole Kidman) where she places a "boombox" atop the casket & plays "All By Myself". That's the only funeral song I can think of! LOL!

My song will be "Somewhere over the Rainbow" sung by Eva Cassidy. I am not the biggest fan of that song particularly, but if you ever get a chance to listen to her version it is unbelievably beautiful.

And I agree, no dying so you can have your friend's song at yours!!
I'm really easy to get along with once people learn to worship me
