Good to see you mrsa :l

That is exactly the product I was talking about, Reccie. We want to get one before next winter. Our electricity prices have shot up by more than 60% over the past two years. With 5 hoomans and 5 pets, we generate a lot of washing.

As for other dogs and Amy, just allow the big dog(s) to come up to Amy. She's still a pup and will be submissive. They'll have a good sniff of her behind and move along quickly enough. At least, that's how Saffa dogs behave
      I'll do whatever it takes

Bloody hell, 60% is steep, Mr T! Hope they're giving you generous pay rises to compensate for the rising cost of living.

I more or less have been allowing other dogs to approach Amy as they please, tips. She usually rolls over on her back submissively and, as you say, they generally have a bit of a sniff and move on. This one didn't and seemed to be getting stuck in. I couldn't properly see what was happening cos the dog was between Amy and me, even though I had her on a short lead, but she was screaming continually and I feared the worst. It was a big brute and I could hardly budge it before the owner arrived and gave it a walloping.

Sheesh, Reccie. That sounds scary. I understand why you're apprehensive.

Fuel prices have gone up by a similar amount, yet average annual increases have been around 7% . We're simply getting a little poorer every year. That's why neither Mrs. T nor I have bought new cars yet. We're holding off as long as we can to save money. Economic growth is stagnant. We'll be lucky to see 2% this year. Corporates are retrenching across many sectors as well. Och... I can carry on and on, but I think you get the picture. The long and the short of it is that as much I hate my commute and work circumstances, I feel I have to hold on to what I have. Anyhoo... enough about my suburban worries.

Mmm.....prolly most of the troops will be able to empathise with you to a greater or lesser degree on that one tips, whichever part of the world we happen to live in. The numbers may be a little different, but the sad fact is that most of us are getting a little poorer every year, I certainly am anyway! :upset:

That was a lovely dinner. Grilled chicken (again, but different spices), brown basmati, brocolli, carrots and green beans.

                  ?Ello ?ello!

Glad to see you sounding so much better Our Whizzy! :l That must be agony, a fractured spine. When do you think you?ll be able to go out again?

Reccy? Not being a dog owner, I don?t even know what the ?norm? is in a circumstance like that. Is it OK to wallop the other person?s dog if it?s attacking yours? Starty had a really bad experience when a dog attacked her dog Larry? he got badly bitten and had to have a drain in his neck and all sorts. I reckon it?s only right to protect your dog in a situation like that but I really don?t know what the ?rules? are. Poor wee Amy. Don?t let it put you off the common though. How about carrying a really whippy branch with you (I would say a horse whip but that might be a bit obvious!).

Tipps? I can relate to the ?holding what you have? part. I went into a holding pattern when the housing market crashed, followed by the stock market, followed by my sanity. I never wanted to live in this house, I was remodeling it to flip it for a profit. I?ve accepted we ain?t moving anytime soon and that?s why I?ve been doing the stuff that needs done. Which NOW hinges on the bloody main client? we might not even be able to do anything after the doors. Feel free to gripe any time by the way? in fact, join the club! I reckon we all have our ?suburban worries? as you put it. (60% is a CRAZY increase by the way... the feckers.)

Satz? Not really sure what to say about your work situation except that it seems to weigh heavy on your mind. Can you retire there, either way, and find a way to be happier with the time you spend in the office? I really don?t know what to suggest. Sorry that it's getting you down though... :l

:wavin: Hiya Sweety, Pinky, Foxy, Jacks! Hope your ?back to work? day wasn?t too bad Sweety.

I got said doors delivered today? trying to get the Scottish carpenter to come in tomorrow to hang them. Painting the bedroom (and doors) next weekend? mess, fuss and hassle! I haven?t even picked a colour yet and should at least start thinking about it. I?ve done plenty of painting in my time and Kenny will be on it too so we should be able to knock it out between the 2 of us.

There are pics from yesterday of me looking chubbier than Fats Domino with 2 gawjus Queens either side of me on Facebook, for those that want to see how my double chin is progressing! It truly sucks when men in women?s clothes look better than you!!! :gramps:

Yeah... that's a stereotype all right. He'd have loved it at that place yesterday! One of the Queens does a cool thing at the end where she takes off all her make-up on stage and changes into shorts, t-shirt and a baseball cap and changes into his man role. Does it to the Michael Jackson song, Man in the Mirror.

Yer wan indoors gets sent off with a healthy packed lunch every day. The way things are at this moment in time though, I'm not practicing what I preach. He goes off with the healthy lunch and I eat cheese and crackers instead.

I've rehabbed a few houses and I feel your pain! The dry wall (plaster board) dust is THE worst. Mind you, I have a dust allergy. The bedroom furniture is big and bulky and that shit will have to be dragged out and put somewhere. Probably have to dismantle the bed seeing as the new doors will be on and I won't have the big gap to drag it through. How about that for "insult to injury"?!
