Sorry to hear about the accident Tips, shocking what can happen in a split second.

More progress on the Whizzy mobility front. I am going to leave the house and walk for 10 minutes today before I see the physio. Feeling so much better

        Hey ho Army!

Gawd, I can't get going today. This no sleep thing is really doing me in :upset:
Don't think it's AL related (Gentlemen - start yer ear plugs)... prolly more of a slightly past middle age hormonal issue.

JC... yer sleep fairy is a lazy arse. Need to have a chat about work ethic.
Tips, glad, you're moving 'n such.. did you get to the doc?
Mrs. A.. I obviously missed the cause of your couch boundness (yes, it's a word - as of now)... hope your 10 minute outing was successful and not too much?

Mollypolly, it was a slightly more 'normal' meeting (from what I gather)... a bit more emotional. Got another phone number and a couple of hugs. All in all all good (whew, that's a lot of all).

Anywho.. gonna try and get my sorry behind in gear here. I undoubtedly have large creatures waiting for me, doing their best to look starved and neglected.

        Laterz!
Okay, WHO put a stop payment on my reality check?

Glad you're getting a bit better, Mrs. A.

Sounds like your plan together GG :goodjob:

No luck in doing police report. I have to do it a police station in Cape Town, so that'll be a good chunk out of my day tomorrow. Saw the doc - I'll be fine, just a few sprained muscles.

            Hewwo troops!

I'm glad you're in good shape Tipps, and great news on the 10 minute walk Whizzy. Bummer about the police report though Tipps... can only imagine how excruciating that is going to be. Worse than the bloody accident.

GG... I can relate to the sleep issues. I've been insomniac since 14 yrs old. Have you tried taking anything to help you sleep?

Chicky... thanks for the comments on the gaff... it's a work in progress and looks like it will continue to be so for ever and a day! No end in sight!

Mollers... what kind of stuff do you get in for the shop @ Chrimbo?

            :wavin: @ a'body else!

Just about to start in on more painting. Got the walls in my bathroom done yesterday and now I'm going to tackle the spare bath and the half bath (a.k.a. "wee closet with only a toilet and a sink innit" or "the cats' loo") to prep them and roll the walls. Fun fun fun. NOT!!!

            I vill be baaaack...

Cheeses, Zennie! You're a human machine, by the sound of it :goodjob:

Hiya Mollerooney. Looks like the Irish economy is slowly on the mend, so hopefully the shop will have a good festive season. I guess we all become a bit blas? about where we find ourselves in the world. Cape Town is a beautiful city, but I sometimes don't see it. Same with Stellenbosch - it's a very pretty town.

And I must be OK - I was deemed fit for kit hen duty. A curry was ordered and duly cooked from scratch

Is JC working overtime or is she sulking because nobody put the kettle on? Is the time difference one hour or two now your clocks have "gone forward"? Just coming up to 9 here.

Was having a nanna nap................needed one after giving the sleep fairy up early today.

Nearly had a big sulk earlier as I missed me bus which meant I missed my Metro and then when I did get me Metro I was a bit thirsty ( ha a bit I was gagging) and couldn't get the fecking top of me wee bottle of lemonade................but Bess was pleased to see when I got home.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

                        Re-Hola!

                        Rant Alert.

What a perfectly crappy day - work wise. And mitten wise. Do you think I can fine ONE miesely matching pair of gloves/mittens? Nope. So, I went and bought one for $14. FOURTEEN BUCKS :egad: And no, they're not sprinkled with gold dust, they're like null-acht-fuffzehn knit sorta glove thingies. Pfffttth.

K.. rant over. Must get back to work.

                        As you were...

Actually the morning passed quite quickly just felt like it took me a week to get home.

Funny you were just talking about the beauty of your home town.....my Metro crosses the Tyne and I still get a wee extra heartbeat each time knowing it's my river and my home town.:h

Mind you me heart's fecking thumping now. Bess got a bloody great bit of bone stuck in her mouth. Seems like it's taking 2 hours rather than a few minutes to un-stick it.

Love her to bits as I do but the very thought of a massive vet's bill kept going through my mind.:upset:

She's Ok and managed to eat a cheese scone.
