Tipps... Fingers crossed for a good outcome with the insurance co. The one time I made a claim they jacked my premiums which I sorted by switching insurance companies. I got an enormous amount of satisfaction out of dumping them after they paid out... for once I got something out of the whole insurance dealio.

Minimalist food, Zen? B'room looks great.

I'd rather not start on hunting as a "sport". Read a story recently about hunters shooting out herds of springbok in the Karoo (or maybe the Free State even). They pay the farm owner a cut. Apparently springbok foal twice a year, and they because their hooves are so sharp, they really damage the veld. I see the point (well, sort of) but I still don't like it. Being a bit hypocritical here: if they offered me some of that meat I'd gladly make space for it in the freezer. Trophy hunting is a whole other rant. I'm an editor and translator - very good with other people's words, not so much my own. Now take that damned light out of my eyes:H

Aww thanks. It's taken a lot of hard work but I finally feel I'm getting somewhere. I should dredge up the photos from when I bought it... it was HIDEOUS! A vision in floral wallpaper and blue carpets throughout... :yuk:

I was reading an article Cheryl sent to me earlier about the property market starting to come back here. Happy days, even if it'll take 10 bloody years for me to recoup my loss on this house.

I HATE hunting. I can buy nicely packaged meat in the store but even then I *think* about it a LOT. But I'm O+ which is the oldest blood type and I eat like the "ancients" which includes meat.

As for animal cruelty, that gives me the shits... I've had to stop looking at PETA clips etc. as they would stick in my head and haunt me for days. The Chinese Fur Farm ones really fecked me up... :upset:
