Nora - :l Thank you so much for taking the time to explain about the cutting. I do understand that it's not the same as getting a shot, and after I said that I realized my mistake. Cutting is a "release" for pain, and not a fear of needles. Sometimes I'm a dum dum!

Mama - My dad just texted me and said he wants to talk to me alone tonight about her situation. He said he has some thoughts. I am glad, he is wealth of knowledge and support and I ALWAYS feel better after talking to him. He is just one of those people that makes it seem like everything will be okay. On the other hand, when my dad wants to talk to me alone I get nervous...LOL...I am 41 years old for crying out loud and I feel like I'm "in trouble". HA I'm sure he's done some reading and research on what she's going through, so I'm anxious to hear what he says. My mom will not be included in the conversation, she is too emotional, but means well. He will explain it to her later in a calm manner

"Trust but verify" is excellent advice Mama! Good luck with that Turkey dinner...I've never done it either so I feel for ya!

I just texted my Daddy and said "How come even at 41 years old I feel like I'm in trouble when you want to talk to me? LOL" And he said "Just concerned about Little Miss Precious, don't worry"....Funny that at ANY AGE your parents can still put the fear in ya! LOL

it is SO awesome that you can talk to Daddy.....they always make it better.

Sounds like we are all suffering from head cold stuff...I would go do doc but if this is viral antibiotics wont help...I cant take any meds with the ephedrine in it. Makes my heart race and I cant sleep so I am just suffering and blowing and hacking.....pleasant here and dh has the same thing...bleh.

K9 - I'm glad that I didn't step on your toes regarding the cutting, etc. I just wanted to tell you because I was floored when my friend was telling me about it.

Mama - yes I'm TTFP. Good luck on the Thanksgiving dinner. I've done it a couple of times. But, now that I'm vegetarian, we have all the side dishes but no turkey.

Yep I am finally feeling a bit better today...cancelled going to dog training tonight...so hopeful tomorrow will be better so we can to to the LTC place for Thanksgiving for dad....dont want to make all the old folks sick..

Thank you all for your well wishes on my impending Cardiac procedure.........Lucky and Mama, The individual modeling the Hospital pajamas........is not me (as if you didn't know !Ha!) I will comment though....Lucky.....I think you might enjoy if the model wore his pajamas back wards. Ha! (With the draw strings in the front ! Ha!) Will let you all know what's happening....Tony

a frontal view WOULD be nice Tony!!I went to the clinic and the doctor actually listened to me. He said it was some type of flu plus an ear infection, so I got a cortisone shot, Z Pack, and prednisone. I told him thank you for listening and I was glad I wasn't crazy!
Pop went to the neurologist today and the doctor was shocked at how bad Pop has gotten in six months and thinks he may have had a stroke. Nana will be taking him for a brain scan. It makes a lot of sense as Pop has gotten so bad so fast.
