    If at all possible do not go with an HMO. Know your patient rights. If your insurance denies somthing and you know you need it...fight for it. A threatening letter can go a long way.
    Sometimes I wonder...."Why is that frisbee getting bigger?"...and then it hits me.

        Buy, grow and eat organic....

        Cheaper is NOT better.....

        MILK is one area NOT to scrimp in...buy organic!

        Shop the outside rows of the grocery for fruit, veggies, dairy and protein. Stay away from the inner rows of processed food.

        Even our pet food is at risk.....

            ALWAYS.......have plenty of candles - in case of a power outage you can always watch TV by candlelite.

              Always wear earplugs when working in loud situation.I work in a weld shop and for years only wore 1 earplug and left the other ear open to better hear audiobooks I listen to while working. I thought the headphones would protect my hearing.One summer night while many crickets were chirping, and I, tossing and turning, noticed I could only hear the crickets out of the ear I had the earplug in during the day.                 If there is a power outage than shouldn''t there be no TV? Unless I suppose you have a handheld battery operated one. We did that once, hubby hooked up our back-up generator from our sump pump to our TV(LOL). Survivor was on.

                          Rate hopping on your mortgage is not always the best option. If you refinance for a .25% or even .50% on a rate but end up paying large fees (which many brokers/lenders are REALLY good at hiding from you) you may never recoup the cost of a refinance, even if your payments are reduced.

                          Also, paying off credit card debit with a refi is not such a good deal. When you figure out how much interest you are paying over 30 years on that debit (cause you roll it into your mortgage) it is disgusting. Sorry folks, best just to tighten the belt and pay it off as fast as you can off the credit cards.

                              Vegas tip

                              This one may sound obvious to some people, but I'll put it out there. If you are going to gamble in Vegas, stay away from video machines. Especially the slots. Vegas makes more money off those things because the odds totally suck. Learn craps, black jack, or poker. I like black jack the best, then craps. You can play longer, have more fun, and actually walk away with some money if you have self control. I try not to gamble anymore. I have a bit of a addictive personality, as you can imagine.

                              Also, great idea for a thread Simey. So many nice tips.

                                Buy the cheapest diapers. The expensive one's don't hold it in any better than the cheaper one's and it saves money.


                                Also generic formula has all the same ingredients as the name brand. I learned that after the twins. Saved a tons of money.
