      Good thing I haven't started on supper yet - please send some over. You said you had something special in mind for them - what was it?

      We'll have to send the rest of the Army on an Afrikaans course, or we'll be translating every second word.

        Well I am having tomatoes baked in the oven after being marinated in garlic and oil. Then just before serving crack some eggs on top with chives and grill. Comfort food for a chilly evening.

          I can't believe how cold it was today, my car was frozen solid this morning :upset:

          Going back out to AA in about an hour. ( I might wear two coats) :H

            Ooooh that sounds good mrs whizzy! I love tomatoes! Does your dish have a name and is there a slightly more detailed recipe online anywhere? Would like to try it. I'm busy eating my ratatatatatataatouille at the mo.

                No recipe. just chop up vine tomatoes into quarters with a load of garlic marinate in oil for an hour then stick in the oven until cooked , crack some eggs on top with some chopped chives and grill until eggs are set and :h
                Fancy some ratatouillee-----

                      Thanks whizzy, I'll give it a whirl. Did you know the word ratatouille is derived from the French verb touiller, to stir? I try not to stir it too much actually.
