    Underoos and Friends - December

No tips really. Did you know people juice marijuana?

I am trying to juice one or two times a day and be mostly raw vegan. I am about 70% there. Don't know if I will make it any further. Diet really is either medicine or poison for mind, body, and soul.

I plan to do a juice feast soon but don't know for how long.

I love the topic and it inspires me.

Nutribullet did not like dates this morning. I was making an apple pie smoothy.

I have read to have no more than 20% fruit in juice and the rest greens and veggies. Otherwise, blood sugars spike. I like adding in Tabasco sauce and having it taste like a healthy Bloody Mary.

Most of the negative reviews come not from the product, but from the sales system. Once they've got your credit card number it's all over apparently.
I've had a couple of bad experiences this year with telephone and on-line sales, and some unasked-for purchases turning up and some things paid for not arriving. I now how a strict policy of buying from shops! I make an exception for Amazon, but that is because I trust them.

It is available in lots of shops in the US, and I'm contemplating asking my brother to but it and ship it to me. Bridge, if you seriously decide to get one, let me know and I'll get him to buy two!

Someone has beaten you to that idea Mr G - there is an Aussie "Magic Bullet" ($69.95 at the good guys) but it gets universally crap reviews!!

Missy, from memory the Nutribullet was shipped from NZ, I think...must have a dig for dockets, but for now I am off to become naturally blonde...AGAIN...

What I do like about it though is that it crushes nuts...I do like shoving them into it...I do...
That is because NZ is a low wage economy and one of the fastest growing sectors in terms of employment is (in Auckland) distribution centers for multi-national manufacturers. Stuff is shipped in bulk to Auckland from wherever it is manufactured, and warehoused in Auckland. Because NZ is at the start of the international date line, it can often be freighted quicker from there to Australia and some parts of Asia than it can from the country in which the consumer resides. A lot of the workers work night shifts processing orders coming in from other parts of the Asia/PAcific region and have them on the morning planes.

Here's part of how I spent my day to-day..... making a lid for a milk crate for camping.
It is now a multi functional unit. :H

It will make a handy step for hoiking myself in and out of the ute
without me having to empty it and turn it upside down.
Will also make a great little table for the gas stove.
Can double as a seat or an hors d'oeuves
I made 2 of the planks set a bit wider so I can grip it to lift it off.
I'll let you know what Mr Rags says about my handiwork.
He's due home in about 30 minutes.

Made a cover for the milk crate for camping so it is now a multifunctional unit.

It can be a table for hors d'oeuvres round the campfire.
Made it with more space between 3 planks so I can get my had in to grip it
to lift the lid off. Even sanded the ends.
All made from leftovers. Cost $0.00

                I am very impressed!

Mr B is back in my good books having cleaned the entire bathroom, fridge and floors while I was out today.

I will be very glad when he starts work though. He has been really bored over the last month, and this flat is too small for both of us to be grumpy at the same time. The whole recruitment process seems to have taken forever. The latest hold up was because he hasn't ever been immunized against rubella. So he gets his jab tomorrow. That is the last hurdle and will hopefully allow him to start work on night shift the week before Xmas . I'm looking forward to a Xmas break of time on my own at the beach, reading books and watching DVDs :-)

                  Where is everyone?
Rags...I'm very impressed....that'll be rooly handy. Excellent idea.
I have a Breville juice fountain also...had it for years. I often see it at markets at the juice stalls also (as in selling juice, not juicers) so I guess it's pretty hardy also.
                  I'm going to see James.

I just heard the news too. I had a bit of a weep ..... he was so inspirational, and a huge part of my formative years when I was involved in the anti-apartheid movement.

I recently read "The Astronaut's Wives Club" about the wives and families of the first three cohorts of astronauts. It was well worth it
