This years worst present - a "care package" containing a bottle of vodka, a bottle of champagne & a bottle of Baileys Irish Cream....I care not for it. Think I'll forget to pack it when we leave.

So far today I've had a wee sleep in, taken my boy for a long walk and given him a brush. Just having a coffee. Haven't read the news. About to do a yoga DVD which claims it will render me sexy and stuff. I'm excited about that! Happs will be proud.

So, home alone again today. Not sure if I'll wander anywhere other than the pool later.

Angel - are you anywhere near the Otago Rail Trail? It is supposed to be absolutely fantastic - the whole thing takes a few days, but I think you can just do segments of it.

Morning Undies,
This must be the car care season.... I washed the bright purple car seat covers that go in the yellow happy car. Quite a catching colour combo!
Bought some canvas (yerk) seat covers for the ute. Functional I suppose.


Have zoomed through bits of the house this morning, am just leaving for last minute groceries for the little finger food feast this evening.
Will be making green goddess for the salad dressing.
So, we're having in no particular order..
Wonton,
home made sausage rolls,
Mr Rags is doing prawn cocktails with mango dressing,
Moroccan cutlets on orange slices with a smidge of fine sliced olives,
Sticky chicken wings
Ginger and honey prawns
Tawny's cheese triangles
greek style guacamole
and a couple of salads.

You're all invited.

Happy day after the day after Christmas, Undies.

I shouldn't be ungrateful, but I'm glad it's over for another year. I really missed not having my boys there on Christmas Day.

Rags once again, can I ask you to deliver some of your scrumptious goodies up this way post haste? Just the guaca and salads will do nicely please.

Bridgey, Nicey and Satz, nobody who is completely happy in their own skin would ever feel the need to put someone else down like that. Surely the statute of limitations on bringing up drunken misdemeanours is 24-48 hours, or the next working day if it's a work function? I thought that was an unwritten rule!

Mr G - that's lovely about your sister. It just shows how the fates smile in your direction when you go out and start making things happen for yourself.

My lovely neph and his gf gave me a big pot with strawberry seedlings planted in it for Christmas, but unfortunately it didn't survive the trip home in the car too well, so I can see there's a whole lot of car cleaning in my future. And possibly buying new strawberry seedlings

Not today though. The next few days have been earmarked to try and get a handle on my NVivo software and start the coding for my data analysis. Fun times!

Psssst.... I snuckered off and had a pedicure! Oscar said not a word when I got back and Lady Dharma gave a quick glance in my direction just to confirm my existence - I do feed her so she has to show some degree of respect. Princess Lilly still hasn't got over her 'pampering' from yesterday so won't come anywhere near moi.

I'll show you all at Raggs tonight for dinner.

Isn't it fabulous to be alive and not wondering why it wouldn't be a good idea to get sideways? Yes, sir it is!

Went to a funeral thingo this morning - lovely old friend, married forever, six daughters, 16 grandies, 11 great-grandies - all a gibbering mess. I left early. There's only so many distressed people I can watch without losing composure.
