    Army Thread... Sunday 1st December

Are we at the start of a new month again already? Gah! *runs off screaming into the distance* with echoes of "white rabbits" in the distance.

Where the hell does the time GO?

I double checked on the wee thingy down in the right hand corner and it assures me there is only 30 days in November. So here we are! It's December again. And yiz all have to hold my hand cos December is my nemesis but I'm not going to let that happen again this year. Nope. This year I'm going to be in the driving seat. So, on we go, bold as brass!

I bought my Chrimbo cards today. They're a wee bit edgy as they don't stand up like normal cards but they're quite neat I think. ) If I don't have your address, and you want one of those blighters, PM me your details forthwith! The rest of yiz will be receiving one of those funky feckers!

p.s. Thanks for not giving me gip about being absent. I appreciate that. And it wasn't what yiz thought... I didn't fall off the wagon. But I really appreciate that nobody said I had... :h

Here, tell me about the way you decorate your Christmas trees there in CT. It sounded like you don't use the same type of trees as us. And of course Tipps needs his feckin next door neighbour to bring his... but that's another story, right?!

OK, I'll need to go to sleep wondering how a CT Christmas Tree goes. I would love to find out for myself. Maybe some day.... )

Good morning Zennie, Dreamy, Whizzie and all to come.

Sounds like you're up to all sorts of lekker activities in Oman, mrsa! :goodjob:

Sleep well, Zennie. Sheesh, you're really organised.

How was movie night, Dreamy? What did you watch? Mrs. T and the cubs went to the cinema yesterday, but I have no idea which movie they saw.

Right. I need to brace myself to go and do the weekly shop early. It just feels like such a chooooooooooore (said in the whiny voice of a teenager). And then resume pool duty. Yesterday's wind dind't help at all. And it's not letting up :upset: going to be 30C plus, so better get something light for lunch and then maybe a braai tonight once things have cooled down.

              Have a lekker Sunday, folksies.
              I'll do whatever it takes

Are you diving Whizzy? I'm certified (not a surprise there!) PADI II. It sounds like you're having a really nice holiday.

I used to be BSAC but I crossed over when I moved to the States.

Thank for noticing my absence. I was, literally, just feeling uncommunicative. I get that way.

I guess you're all healed up if you're running again. I would like to be a part of your gene pool Whissmeister.. in awe so I am! XXX

                  Hiya Tipps. )

I'm a tad organized. It's annoying for some people! But it saves on a ton of hassle when you don't have to scrabble around. My motto is "A place for everything, and everything in it's place". It's not very "in" but it works really well!

But Tipps, when I was tits up in the grog... I didn't even know what day it was. So my organized arse was, well, disorganized. It's not a good look for me. I don't think I'll be doing it again. And I have to say... you people are a large part of me getting my shit together. Love yiz for that. It's also really nice not to be playing Russian Roulette every time I go out. I know how I'll get home, wake up, behave, etc..... it's just so much easier not to be drunk. Period. It's taken me a while to get used to it but I really like it to be honest.

I'm a bit of a bugger because I don't like to be part of the herd so I had to do it my way but if it wasn't for the Army people, past and present, I am not sure I would be doing as good as I am today. And that is a fact. X

And on that note... with a word of thanks I am orf for some one on one with the leaba. I really do appreciate, and recognize, and know, we are there for each other and it is a very helpful thing. I've been thinking about it the last week or so... and I realize it's not to be sniffed at. I think we are lucky to have each other, and I also recognize that sometimes some of us have to break off and do our own thing. If one of us is accepted back in the herd after an absence, well, that will be a cool thing. )

                          Army Thread... Sunday 1st December

Zen, what on earth made you think you're not allowed back in the barracks?

Tips the movie was My big wedding - extreeeeeeeemely fluffy - as in watch and forget - with big-name actors.

Anon, it sounds as if you are really enjoying yourself; from Berber tents to beach huts to diving - wow. No coffee, though, sounds like serious deprivation - please help yourself; you know it's a magical pot that refills itself. And while we're on coffee, none of those outlandish things are available in my necks of the woods, Zen - you'll have to make do with plain milk and sugar.

Going to a nearby village - really quaint and postcard-ish - for lunch.

Have to water the garden first - the wind dries out the soil quicker than the sun does, I think. Other gardening news: my apricots are almost ready for picking, my figs should be in another week or two (I hope). Love love love figs. Tips, did you mention grenadillas yesterday? My neighbour's bush has escaped to my side; lots of fruit hanging down already.

                          The usual laters, all
