The reason I ask is I know a few people with what I would consider drink problems however they love it.. So is an alcoholic a label for someone not with a drink problem but someone who is unhappy with there drinking?

A good definition is does it cost you more than the price of the alcohol? Also many drinkers are good at being in denial, and hiding their true misery.
An alcoholic who is still drinking is generally suffering, however I did have a phase where I thought I was having a good time. Looking back even then I really, truly wasn't.I used the Sinclair Method to beat my alcoholic drinking.

I love drinking, i hate the rest of what it is about. I wish i wasnt an alcoholic but i am and therefore i cannot drink. I think an alcoholic is someone who cant control their drinking, who craves AL, who needs AL to function until it starts to destroy our lives.AF free 1st December 2013 - 1st December 2022 - 9 years of freedomComment
