Laters, JC. I'd better go and make something for the rest. Going to keep it simple. Sliced French loaf with cream cheese, smoked salmon and avo. Bought it for last night's braai, but never got round to preparing and serving it.

Bit of a wry smile here as well.

Did the shops......very quiet.

And not only did Mr JC get an electric shock (just a teeny weeny one).......... he also managed to cut his thumb on the teeny tiny light bulb.

Now my turn to stick baubles and tinsels all over it.

Did you make unblooded and unconcussed? With/without cussing?

Saw the James Bond story - just the right tone for the silly season.

Guess I have to get a fire going - sosaties on the braai, will see about the rest. Gorging myself on cherry plums at the moment - I see a serious jam-making session in my future.

Sorry for disappearing. A good friend of ours knocked on the door earlier. She was in a bit of a state. Both her FIL and her cat died last night.

Everyone scavenging in the fridge for something to eat. Never got round to making dinner.
