weight gain when stopping drinking
so i've managed to stop my drinking and the cravings with high dose baclofen, however i notice now at night time i crave sweet things and i tend to over eat, i guess this is my body craving the sugars that alcohol once provided. is this normal when in recovery? Is there anything i can do other than watching my diet to circumvent this? Does it go away over time?

Fruit isn't as good as you might think, but it is more nutritious than many other food sources because it contains fiber, vitamins and minerals. Fresh food, plenty of it, wholegrains, complex carbs are highly recommended.I used the Sinclair Method to beat my alcoholic drinking.
Drank within safe limits for almost 2 years

I used to pile weight on when i've tried to quit in the past. This time round i cut out bread and tried to stick to about 1400 cals a day. I've lost 45 lbs and it's 7 mths tomoro since i had any alcohol. I look and feel so different. I still crave sugar and i do still eat my vegan chocolate x
