    Army thread Thursday 19 December

Think you might have to pick up a virus, Just one of those gentle ones that means you need the settee, hot water bottle and a blanket.

Now just smack me upside the head if I'm wrong but to me Mr Satz is errmm fully embracing his role as the host with the most to say the least.

Canna keep up this pace for 3 weeks..........it's not the 18-30 club.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

              Evening all :hallo:

Don't suppose there's any spare egg n chips goin? Sounds v tempting

Mental mad day in workhouse- sometimes feels like me heads gonna explode- not a wonder I drank- that place really would drive a body to it:upset: Instead of booze now find meself eating chocolate and biccies to cope with stress- not a wise move either but suppose tis miles better than the booze.

I believe there's a lot of nurses with drink problems, they are one of the 'at risk' groups, and yeah, I can really understand why --- I s'pose it's just a matter of learning to cope and being able to 'turn off' a bit -- we learnt that in Aiseiri --- it's like a sort of instant meditation -- and it DOES work --- sometimes --- in the meantime chocolate and biccies prolly aren't a bad idea at all:l
Ah thanks for the hugs Molls:l Laughing now at how mad place was!
Was working with a nursing assistant who has been tee-total her entire life but at one stage today she said 'this place would drive ye to drink and she was deadly serious!!' I was like 'never mind, where's the shortbread?!' Still learning how to cope and put things into some perspective without numbing meself... a work in progress so to speak.

Gonna head to the leaba now and try to 'shut-off'

                Nighters and sweet dreams xx

Have you to go to Carlingford as well??
I think that's very hard --- the whole thing -- but once you've confidence in yourself and 'keep an eye' on yourself you'll be grand -- just keep grabbing 'time-out' for yourself and don't feel guilty about it --- if they're all on the razzle they won't even notice if you slink off from time to time --- just be careful you don't get to the 'fuck it' stage ---
Yep Molls -it's Mr S birthday & twin so it's a tradition we all get together. Managed to keep it to one night - that's workable.

                  Just watching GF drink- ONE
glass of wine the odd beer are sipped with no real interest:egad:
Looking at her I KNOW I couldn't do that. All or nothing me I'm afraid - as I proved today no gym and MORE chocolate :upset:
So as I don't want the ALL in relation to alcohol - it has to be nothing:thumbs:
Think GF & I will be allies over the 'silly' season.
