    Antabuse and Therapy

Last year I got hold of some AB online from the USA and have had 2 reasonably long stints of being AFbecause of it and I think it is a great tool to help in quitting. However I have learnt that to fill the void in my time when not drinking I need therapy of some sort like the AA to keep away the boredam, but could not find the courage to attend a meeting on my own. Finally today I rang drinkline for some help on this and got an appoinment straight away. They were very nice and I felt a weight lifted of my shoulders straight away finally being honest to another human about my problem. She was shocked I could get hold of AB and said its very dangerous and only prescribed to peopke who are basically monrhs away from drinking themselves to death and that I should stop taking it. Everything else she told me was great but although I am uneducated on the matter I like AB, she said I should see my GP on the matter as it can be very bad for my liver and to take it I should be monitored by my doctor. Apart from that she said the AA is a great way of meeting new like wise friends and I m looking forward to that.
Its easier not to start than stop
