Hi I ve been tobacco smoke free for 2 months, using E ciggerettes, probs not much better for u though
I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.

Hi little pink cat, I'm sure it's better than real cigs. Post with us!

Hi Pink Cat- E-cigs actually are significantly better for you than cigarettes, since it's just nicotine and water vapor. Yes, nicotine is still harmful but it's a lot better without the extra carcinogens and toxic fillers in cigarette smoke. Plus, you can ramp down with nicotine on e-cigs to help "taper" off nicotine, though I'm sure you're aware of that already

I just started re-using my e-cig and it did help me to not go buy a pack yesterday, though there were precarious moments... But I got through. So today is Day 2 CF! (cigarette free)

Something that I tried before that works extremely well, and I quit with success (only to go back to smoking because I loved to smoke and drink together - go hand in hand) is Chantix. It was the best method of quitting if you can obtain a prescription for it.

Interesting about Chantix, J-vo. I've had friends who said so too... I would look into it if I wasn't wary of adding more meds to my already giant pile of meds I take... a bit nervous to add any more.

Day 3 CF! (cig free) The e-cig seems to be doing good for me now. I figure it's just like the nicotine patch/gum- same thing, just pure nicotine dose without the smoke/carcinogens. I've had numerous cravings to go get a pack over the last few days... when that happens, i just make sure to puff on my e-cig for a few moments and then, I usually just kind of "forget" the craving. So far, so good

                          Skull,
Whatever works, I say! With the chantix, you know it's a short term thing. Any meds that will be long-term, as I'm on them and hope to eliminate from my system as my sobriety continues, are what scares me. But one thing at a time! Glad you're e-cig is doing it's job!
