    Tobacco/Smoke-Free Roll Call

Thanks again for the support, everyone.

J-vo, I'm glad your trip went well. I should probably write down how I plan on tapering. I chewed a little under a tin yesterday, and I'm hoping I can chew less and less each day. I don't seem to catch a buzz anymore, so that should help with the massive dips I take.

K9, sugar-free gum is really good for your teeth, especially Trident with Xylitol (or however it's spelled). Just swap out the sugared kind for that and you'll be able to postpone the dentures indefinitely

I'm in such a good mood that I have to share my plan right now

After looking at Wiki-How's ideas on how to quit chewing (writing out a list of why it sucks, write out how your life will improve, talk to doctors, etc.), I saw something about medications, and was reminded that I have a script for Wellbutrin, AKA Zyban that I haven't been using. It's helped me quit cigs before, and I read some other people's experiences of it working for chew, too. Plus on top of that, it should give me more energy, help a bit with my mood, and most importantly, it gives me orgasms blessed by God Himself That's what I remember about it the most, actually, and is a good enough reason for ANYONE to take it :H

      I'm PUMPED!

Petey, great plan! Sometimes it takes a little planning on our part, and the plan isn't always right, but one day, as we keep trying, we're gonna hit the nail on the head with the right one. You said it worked for you when you quit the smokes, so yeah! Keep us updated.

            Skull and K9 :goodjob:

I'm still on 7 mg patch, and have a week to go (I think) on it.

                  Skull, good for you!

K9, I second Skull. Love your hair. It's very chic. I'm a short hair girl, too. Takes me seconds in the morning.

                  Day 19

                  Check in Petey!

                    Hey everyone,

I'm finishing up day 2 on Wellbutrin and have noticed a sweet difference already. Even had the energy to go jogging and do some sprints. Yesterday I kinda went off the handle with dip, but today I was back to normal and can feel the med taking effect, so I'm hopeful I'll be able to quit soon.

Good going Jvo and K9! K, how's it been not having any nicotine replacement at all such as gum, patch, etc. Not too shitty I hope? As for the hair, I'd say you're bringing some style to City Hall!

                      Day 12 cig-free for me.

Skull, I'm still on 7 mg patch for now.

You're doing amazing Jvo. 20 days is super impressive with such an addictive substance such as tobacco. I too am still on my nicandies for the time being, and going to begin a slow taper next week.

Day 5. No serious cravings. Doing fine without nicotine replacement. I think my addiction was more to the "act" of smoking than the nicotine itself. That was my "relaxing" time. But interestingly I've been fine without it so far. This quit feels different this time. Maybe because I am not overthinking it....actually barely thinking about it at all.

Skull and J-vo...keep up the great work!!!

Petey, Hang in there, you can do this when you're ready!

I actually had a few mornings where I forgot to put the patch on. I think that's good. I'm on the lowest dose, so it's not much nicotine, but still, me forgetting to slap nicotine on my arm is pretty unheard of.
