Crankin on solar baby! Ain't that the truth here as it climbs to 40+C today and for the next few.

Dangerous weather for many. It's rare we get 4 days of 40C in a row, and this contributed to the horrendous black saturday fires we had here a few years ago. The bush becomes so dry that it's easy fire fuel. Rang me mum, and thankfully the aircon in her new temporary joint is working. Visiting her tomorrow to get her some supplies or she'd have a 10 min. walk to and from shops in this heat. I'm also gonna pick up a portable aircon for the outhouse/attic i live in. Not the water cooler style. Any recommendations?

Have you got the wet towel affixed, i say draped over your scone there Frog?

Have a pearler y'all. Might sneak in an easy jog in the shade and a swim soon, otherwise it's ina....inta....inter.....intellectual pursuits here at the house of G.

It just seems like a little to me, mostly off me waist and boobs, so thats nice :H I still have 13kg or so to go, i feel good but i do like food too much, moderation was never my thing lets face it. :
I feel once i am down to a good weight just keeping fit should take care of the excess calories non?

We've just passed the 41C mark - I haven't started any of my cooling down tricks yet - it's too early and there's still a whole lot of day left. You sure you should be jogging, MrG? Even in the shade?

Lucky - sooooo glad you have another little doggie. I hope she and Lucydog will become great friends.

I think the hardest part about weather like this is making the time go by ...

No, my avatar is not Button but looks very much like her. She is just a bit lighter in color. Crazy how quickly we can fall in love with dogs/cats/cows/chickens. I am not in love with the potty training though!

We've just hit 44C - that's 111F in your language, Birdy & Lucky. I just picked up a glass sitting on my desk to fill it with water and the glass was hot. My iMac feels really hot too. Wonder if I should turn it off or is that just the metal case absorbing heat?

There are idiots in Melbourne playing tennis today. Big deal tennis. Big idiots. Can you tell I'm not a mad sports fan?

he he, don't tell the 'controlled weight loss Nazis' but i had 16 days of eating normal with little exercise over Christmas where i put on weight. so a quick calc averaged out the kg/days at .600g a day or 4.2kg a week... he he keep that up i be a supermodel like tawns in no time...

Jonesy. What fitness accoutrements did you purchase recently? Yes, i remember your post.

It must be about 48c plus in the attic. Just done a bit of online study for my course so that should keep em happy. There's actually some very useful course material they have up online for us that i can use for work. Stark contrast to the haphazard disorganised but fun classroom vibe.

Hope you and the animals are ok there TF. I've got a bloody tin roof. Trey romantic they tell me.
