My Dad called me at sparrows to wish me well - I think he knew he'd be speaking to an unhungover daughter - good feeling, that. Feelings - him knowing, me being.

Right, I guess I'm still on coffee duty (sigh, some thing never change:H). And no squabbling over mugs today - let's start 2014 as we mean to go on: polite, being nice to people, no grumbling and moaning and no making fun of others*.



Spidey, on last years thread, you said you were drinking Schloers - that must be the most inappropriate name ever for a soft drink - slur? What were they thinking, if anything?

In usual Mrs. T fashion order has already been restored. No sign of last night's dinner other than leftovers in the fridge and tablecloths on the washing line.

Looks like we're set for a scorcher, though. I'll remember to put on some sunblock today.

I don't know about your side of the mountain, but we're already baking here. It brought to mind the one New Year's Day after a mega binge (I couldn't remember that midnight had come and gone). The day was spent in utter misery in 30C plus heat. Thank feck all of that is over.

I think it's time for a dip in the pool.
