Happy new year all. Power went out here last night. We are without wifi and cable still and likely until Friday the earliest. Just wanted you to know why I'm not around. Hubby is leaving tomorrow and a big snow storm is coming! Ugh! Check in when I can

Liz, I went to Syracuse University for my MA degree and remember being buried under mountains of snow drifts....Ugggg. Are you upstate or are you in the city? Might be a good time to book a flight to St. Lucia.....

One Step at a Time - January 2014

Had a fun day today, met with some friends and planned some really interesting, fun trips for 2014. Looking forward to connecting with people this year, 2012 and 2013 I spent in some kind of cocoon hiding and I'm not going to waste time doing that anymore.
2023 - focus, getting it done, and living the way it should be and being the person I need to be.

                  Hi Allswell
Only when you said it there I think I've done the same.
                  A kind of self-preservation ............?
Time to emerge from the cocoon methinks ..... I feel strong enough now after Christmas / New Year :yay:

Up early and back to work. Just chilled all day and did ltos of thinking about the new year. Sobreity FIRST and I think the rest will fall into place.
have to shower and head out...

Allswell...I have been hiding too, but that;s mostly financially driven these days.
I took my Christmas stuff down over the weekend. Glad this Christmas is over, with Pop being so sick and all.
                    XOXO....WAKE UP!

Woke up to 3-4 inches of snow..more on the way...fellows called early to see about fixing the leak in the front yard only to call back later to say they couldn't do it..roads are too bad..so we are up way too early for us...snow is pretty and i am glad we don't have to drive in it until later if at all.
Glad 2013 is history and very hopeful for the new year. So much to catch up on. I can not look back and dwell on what i have not done but rather to focus on what I will do in the future...

                            Hi Peeps!

Doing a quick check-in...boy do I feel out of the loop! Was sick Monday and Tuesday with that darn cold (Mama, take care of yourself or it can get bad!). Yesterday hung out with my dogs, went to the gym, watched Sons of Anarchy, went to bed early....ho hum. LOL

I did NOT ring in the New Year...cant remember the last time I made it until Midnight...even then I'm sure I wouldn't remember what I was doing (thanks AL)....

Anywhoo...sober and semi-sane here...missing WHN...she'll be home Sunday. Kickin' some butt at the gym lately, I've switched my thrift store obsession to the gym. Now if I could just see some results!

                            Love you guys...back later! :h

                            p.s. Mama I read that book...it's good!!!
:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Believe in yourself. You are stronger than you think.

I am thinking of joining the Jim (as they say in the Army thread) when I have my van back on the road
                              parts being ordered for it.......
I think that's why I am so pensive about booze these days....license, car......after almost two years....LOTS of newfound freedom....you feel me??
