Hey there Techmeister! Long time no chat my friend... I hope all's well in your neck of the woods.

Hiya Mama! I'm needing Liz's Cauliflower Soup recipe. My last foray into making something different with cauliflower was a complete disaster.

I got my wee side job squared away earlier. I can turn my hand to a few things but I'd hate to be an accountant. Depressing!

While I was out earlier I called in at the new Neighborhood Walmart that opened beside me... it's going to be handy. I also went to two salons and picked one to get my hair done tomorrow. The place I normally go is expensive (well, expensive to me) and the colorist left so I reckon it's time to find a new place.

And other than that, slobbing.com tonight!

Had a great time at the Whole foods event tonight...author of a plant strong eating book gave a very good talk and dh even payed attention..they fed us too so that was a bonus...going to work on cooking more dinners for us so he will eat...would love for him to get off his meds...I believe in diet as medicine.

Kradle, Portugal will be a pleasure trip. Having a two hour layover in Heathrow early in the a:m of the first...I would love to visit England, but this is as close as I'll get for a bit.

Roasted cauliflower is awesome...especially with a bit of curry powder on it!

Mama, so sad to hear about the plain white skivvies...I used to watch "Cops" all the time, until Mrs. Fen killed our cable. I confess, I loved the banality of the whole thing...cops pulling up the plates on a stolen car, pulling the guy over..."Whose car is this?!" Bad boy: "My cousin's." Cop: "What's his name?" Bad boy: "I dunno!" {body slams ensue}. :H

Time to put you all out of your misery. In Oz, skivvies are those tight polo neck tops that the Wiggles wear. I've never heard the term refer to knickers. Also, thongs are something we wear on our feet. And don't get me started on bums or fannies, which have totally different meanings here too!

Roasted cauli is also superb if you put a lemon wedge in the tray while it's cooking.

Dottie - I really believe in food as medicine too, but I don't always practice what I preach.

I should finally have time to check in a bit more next week, seeing as I'll be spending my holiday doing uni work on my home computer, instead of work work on my work computer.

I have to say, the Oz definition for skivvies is not as racy as I'd anticipated. :H Most stateside peeps who are familiar with victorian porn know what a "fanny" is...I imagine this is your link, mama bear? :H:H:H

Hey all,so Glass in australia a "skivvie"is what we call a mock turtle neck shirt?dang thought it was something dirty,ugh had a good sleep but kept dreaming and dreaming just dumb stuff but when i dream so much i dont feel as rested,omg 7-11 has this salted caramal cappucino its so good! i didnt think id like it but yum! Kradle my chili is nothing fancy,just hamburger,beans from a can,packet mix and veggies but to me thats homade haha,today i have to take Kell to the doc so they can put her under,inject some stuff in her back to test the nerves,im not totally sure whats done,i just gotta go to drive her home and keeep an eye on Louie(hope hes good)ill check in later,have a good friday

I think I Learned what a fanny was on the Army thread, but not sure. Kind of scary...I have learned more "wordly" things on MWO than I ever knew in my insular, protected little world!

Kradle -
chili recipe compliment of my friend Ruby Willow that used to post here.
large can of kidney beans
large can of black beans
large can of white beans
McCormicks Chili Envelope...I have tried others and it is not as good
can of Rotel tomatoes
can of beef broth
can of beef gravy
1 lb ground beef
salt and pepper
1/4 cup (more or less) of sugar

brown beef and dump everything else in let it simmer
I double this recipe for my carnivores
It's extra good with fresh, hot cornbread and shredded cheese and onions on top

My boys invite their friend over when Mom's cooking chili :-)

Kradle - Your new picture is soooo cute! Those girls and their curly hair! Makes me miss my little mop head. Enjoy them now...soon they will be driving...the car AND you crazy (er)!

That chili sounds good Mama! Today Sierra is a vegetarian, tomorrow that might change, I can't keep up. Plus I cheated last night and had Taco Bell and gained 3 pounds. It's so freakin' unfair! :upset:

I am drinking coconut oil in my tea this morning...hopefully it will magically do something to transform me.
