DD found an Irish slang - (mainly Dub slang) book yesterday.
She thought it was hilarious - that every one of them I say.

examples :
Acting the Maggot - fooling around in a somewhat boisterous manner.
(usage) "Anto : Will ye stop acting the maggot and give the oul' wan back her wheelchair"
