I had 4x 330ml bottles of non alcoholic becks last night and i must admit that my brain seemed to want to gulp the 1st one down like I used to with my first drink.
After a while I slowed up and my 5th drink was a pint of coke (not good for my teeth).
The non alcoholic lager seems to be working at keeping me off the drink. Just not sure if I'll ever stop craving the real thing

I had a go at this myself and decided I don't like the taste and I often don't need a drink because I'm hydrated anyway. I'll usually ask for a coffee or even sit there with nothing. Seems daft to have even a water if I don't want one. I can sit and chat without bottle or glass in hand.
People have given me dealcoholised wine, which is a nice thought but I drank wine to get pissed, I didn't enjoy the taste without the effect so a waste really. The thought of the taste of most alcohol sets my stomach churning, it's just not nice!
Thing to watch is are you acting out the addiction?I used the Sinclair Method to beat my alcoholic drinking.

I drink NA beers when I get a craving. One or two is my limit too. I probably drink 6 a month all told. O'douls only has 65 calories, so it really isn't that unhealthy. And it has never made me crave an alcoholic beer. When I go to a party I bring some with me so I have a drink in hand when I arrive. No moment when I am just handed something or ask what I am having.
These things have really helped me stay on track.No matter how far you go or how fast you run, you can't get away from yourself. ....said at an AA meeting. It stuck with me.

A friend who has been sober for 28 years told me the other day:
Do you ever meet non-drinkers who say: on Friday I will only have 4 Cokes, or 3 NA beers, or 500ml tea!
If I have to control or count it, I see it as my addiction acting out.
Another friend was sober for 11 months, and relapsed on AF beer!
Just my opinion....
For me, I had to be very careful about just swopping addictions. Chocolate was mine....

it turns out that the beer i was drinking is NOT completely alcohol free. the label says LESS THAN 0.5% per bottle.
I could feel a very very mild effect after finishing it.
I guess this is not the answer. it would have to be completely alcohol free

I for one believe that I have "quit" drinking. I enjoy the taste of beer, in fact crave it at times, and if I allow myself the AF beer, then I dont have a need for the AL kind.
Im not looking to get drunk, as I used to when I drank, nor do I think I even posses the ability drinking something with that trace amount of AL.
The decision is yours.....to drink it or not...you need to find what works for you. All I know is that it works for me, and doesnt give me cravings for the real stuff
