My phone isn't talking to my lappie so can't show you pics of the tapas dinner... one dish was prawn and chorizo.. very tasty and beautifully blended... tasted great. I'd've never thought of it..
The charcuterie dish had home made baby pickled carrot. Asked for the recipe... very vague

but suger (I assume brown) water, and probably white wine vinegar as the carrot had retained it's natural colour (and crunchy too). Will try to make some when I get home. Anyone ese do hone pickling?

There's the prawn and chorizo. I'd present them differently.
Lentils are big here. Served in every restaurant with every dish.
Buy a 100kg bag at the start of the season... no worries about spoikling etc. And cheap.

Ooooohhh this will interest Tawny who is 5'11" tall. It makes it difficult for you to retain your balance when cornering if you are a female speed skater.(Which I'm watching at the moment ). So Tawn, I suggest you take up a different sport.
