      BUNNINGS!
There's two ways of looking at the holes in your shoes
You can dig the ventilation... or you can sing the blues

I didn't come this far to only come this far.

          Busy day.

The Lamp ran amok with his jackhammer and took out half of the old concrete downstairs. It is a scary mess. If this python is still around I reckon it will be deaf. We all hid/went on various adventures elsewhere. Dog help us all, we are in construction mode. Or mood. The Lamp is back and on a mission.

PS good stuff on your website Mr G x Nice top Rags, matches your eyes. Not the new black and blue version, the other ones.

            Evening All.

Humidity is at about a gabillion per cent here. Rather like walking through water. I'm sensing a sleepless night if we don't get a change.

Yes I think I would be having a 'chat' about that time in liew type set up Aspy.

              Evening Undies,

Ahhhh ... the days are drawing in, the chooks are going to bed earlier which pleases me immensely. Speaking of chooks - can any of you chook owners tell me how to attend to 'dirty bum' syndrome? (The chooks, not mine) Is it wash or cut off the dirty feathers?

And ... has anyone got a Bokashi bucket? I'm thinking about going down that route for my compost.

              Throb that top, Raggsy.

Just finished watching Doc Martin, a show I really like but I can't for the hell of me work out how he actually managed to bonk Louisa. He's such a misery guts. What I really like is seeing other stuff that Martin Clunes has done which shows this beautiful, gentle, happy and kind man who obviously adores dogs - the man is the antithesis of the grumpy character he plays in Doc M. Noice.

Bridge - I reckon mint tea is the ducks guts on humid evenings.

Yep - that's why I'm a tad concerned and was wondering how other chook mums attend to the prob. Can't wait for the Bokashi notes. Brilliant.

                    Ahhh I take your point....
                    Okey dokes. 2 poss solutions.

                    1. The pink stuff that you put into their water to worm them. I'm pretty sure you've got some/had some.

2 A mash consisting of garlic 2 cloves, chilli x 2 mashed potato and grated cheese all mixed together. They will go in for the cheese (oddly) and stay for the other which are anti parasitic. The tati will hold it all together.

Mine were attending to their own bums but sometimes got really mucky. So I washed them. And fed them pumpkin seeds with yoghurt and garlic. They like it, don't know if it works and cant remember why I did it now. That was the first lot of chooks btw.

Bridge I might try that other mash though. Not me. For the girls.

So what's the state of play with the new/current ones? Are they laying? Sorry if you've said and I missed it ...

Yep, two girls, two eggs every day. We were getting some double yokers when we had the four so guessing that the two that went to god were laying those. But I've name these two now, so the pen better bloody hold. Xena and Isobel.
