One Step at a Time – February 2014

Mama, I will cut them! I will! I would shop for a fresh tail weave, and accompany you in the back row with all the rest of the bad grrlz.

Thinking of you through all this. :h

Pauly, I had a friend who started serious night sweats at the age of 39, so it's definitely in the realm of possibilities.

          Hi all,
mama I will be in the back row...aging hippie with red hair...
Off to the rental house...toilet leaking and now the ceiling in the basement needs to be fixed too..what a mess....will be glad to get them out of there....cant be soon enough. I was dreaming about this last night...I don't need/want this kind of stress. Not worth drinking over but stress is my enemy....glad to be this far down the road so it is not the first think I think of when stress hits...now it is eating so need to work on that next.

Mama, your description of us was so perfect! Don't forget I will be smacking gum and blowing huge bubbles too, swinging my leg and twirling my hair. Totally disrespectful LOL (Just kidding)

Pauly - Have you skipped periods yet? I guess if you have missed 12 in a row you are officially in menopause. I remember my mom getting so irritated because she'd miss it for 11 months, then have one. She did that three times! I probably won't even know when I am in it, thanks to all the shots and implants I've had that completely take the period away. My poor body is probably just screwed.

"Sub Unit K9"...LOL :H She is a Doctor Who geek, so I hear all kinds of odd comments coming from her too (with the British accent no less). Sierra is begging me to take her to ComiCon....OMG I can't even imagine being surrounded by all the nerds and dorks. HA Then again, I bet it would be a blast! She wants to wear a costume and the whole deal...lord help me.

Alright, guess I'd better get to work. My boss will be stomping in any minute now. I have tried to be nicer to her lately, have you noticed? lol

              Back later :h
:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Believe in yourself. You are stronger than you think.

Ooo yeah, I can do the bad ass Scottish thang... wee tartan mini skirt, fishnets and Doc Martens... no probs! (Might have a hint of "mutton dressed as lamb" about the whole look... but ahh who cares?!)

That would be a motley crew in the back row right enough...

                HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA!

I had the sleep of the year last night... I think I'm still in shock!

I'm on bills and paperwork at the mo, then going to the gym, then a quick shower and taking in some returns to Marshalls. I take stuff home to try it on now and take back what's of no use as I sneeze ma heid off with the dust/lint/whatever in the changing rooms.

I see the Star Fairies have been visiting again. Can you imagine being that fecking LAME that you get your jollies out of down rating threads?! :egad: It makes my returns to Marshalls sound positively exciting in comparison! Poor buggers...

Happy Hump Day! Will catch yiz later in the day... X

I was boo hooing yesterday and stumbled across Katy Perry's autobiographical film on Netlfix. I like her music and her style and she is really sweet and driven

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA! :bday3: I knew there was something I wasn't remembering- you sit your ass right back down and Netflix this afternoon...that's an order! I'll be over to do laundry...:l
You're right- I'll be in the back SSHHING everyone in my Emporium India skirt and pixie boots- a little like Stevie Nicks meets our Miss Brooks....

Pauly I'm right dab in the middle if menopause and my only real problem is memory. I used to have a Cracker Jack one but now it's ....it's ....shit I forget
Seriously though that's the biggie and maybe an occasional flash which I love because I have super low BP so I am cold all the time. I juice ALOT and keep up with the sups and treadmill, walk, do weights...all moderately though....nothing hard core like k9 and Nora!! Keep to those simple routines and I swear you'll be good to go!

Dottie I so relate to the rental. I have horror stories but thankfully I have decent people there now who are very understanding when stuff isn't fixed right away.

Zenny I loved Doc Martens when I lived iEngland. My boyfriends would wear them and they we're kick ass! Jeez that brings back so many memories...:l

Off to shower for the chiropractor. I'll try to relax...yea right! :H

                      Hugs and heart everyone:h

PS I'll get up to date on Matt later on...he's ok and just another confirmation we did the right thing by sending him there.....

"No One ever told me about the laziness of grief"
                          C.S. Lewis
I was googling "grief" and looking for ways to help myself, and importantly, my husband and MIL.
I thought this quote was profound. So if it helps anyone, what you feel or may have felt is simply your body taking over and telling you to rest and stop. No need to "Be Strong", or "Put It Behind You". Times heals all things. And that makes me feel better. Being a lazy, sleepy little piglet is fine!

Mama, grief is like being smacked with a two-by-four. Be gentle with yourself. Go into a netflix induced stupor. I command thee!

I watched three movies between Portugal and Newark last weekend. I recommend "Crazy, Stupid Love" and "In A World". I also saw "Gravity" which was awesome, but might be too tension inducing. :h
