Hey Mama - what do you mean if there is any left, come on down? We are going to be there! Remember? Me with my head gear!!! :H:H
I didn't get braces until I was married and 20 years old. You know that head gear was romantic.
Another friend of mine lost her long time boyfriend, significant other, whatever you want to call it, this morning. I'm so very sad for her.
Had a long talk with my brother today. About his taking care of Mom and about Dad. It was good to talk. We are both carrying some guilt? I was the one that told the Doctor to stop the heart med that was keeping Dad going. He feels like he isn't doing enough for Mom. Bottom line is that we both did/are doing the right thing.
Off to pay bills. Catch you all later. :wavin:"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Nora, I was the one who had to tell the Dr.s to stop my dad's bp meds that were keeping him alive the morning he died. :l I know how you feel. I agonized over that decision for years.
Truthfully, he had been mentally compromised already due to anoxia from two previous heart attacks, and he did not want to go through yet another recovery. What a hard call to make, though. I was still relatively young (plus, terribly ill with the flu), but my mom couldn't bear to be the one to make the call.
You did the right thing. Your brother is doing his best. It's all we can do. :h

Thanks Fen - I know that logically. But, I still remember us sitting over 'The Death Watch' and the Doctor coming in and taking a chair. He sat there for awhile and then told me that the med was keeping Dad going even thought we knew it was time. I'm sorry you had to go thru it too. At least I was older. I was very secure in my Dad's wishes, etc. But, I knew that Mom wasn't ready to let go. That was hard.
Sigh........
On a brighter note, I'm really looking forward to connecting with my cousins partner. He is such a great guy and I know that we are going to laugh our asses off. :H We might shed some tears but we are going to laugh too. And, that is what life is all about..........."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

We wish we'd be there
So save us a virtual chair
We'd be right on the ball
And annoy one and all
And generally show that we care... :h"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

You guys are the best and I will save the pew in the VERY BACK of the room for all of you
up early with Hubs...
I am keeping a few nerve pills and LOTS of kleenex in my purse, just in case
I will be glad when this is over and we can move on, but I am looking forward to saying good bye and honoring Pop one last time
Nora...sorry to hear about your friend..waht a shock
and yes Pauly, people are very insensitive
I asked Bri if she was coming. The services are 10 minutes from the office and my bosss gave them permission to close the office. Bri said, "But I won't know anyone there...." WTF??
I doubt anyone from my office will show up, but two manager buddies will be there and a few friend, and then there are those BAD virtual school friends that are coming.
What matters is the people I love most in the world will be there....even the invisible ones:h:h
I'll try to check in laterI love my family more than alcohol.:h
