Nora, the shoes were "New Balance", if that helps. Yah, some brands the 11's are too small. 11 1/2 is the magic size for me. I forgot that you are afflicted similarly! :H Mama, I would kill to have such diminutive feet as yours!

Nora, does Casey have body aches? I wonder if he has the flu. I hope he feels better soon.

Thanks mama I do need some space...dad and I were never close so this is very hard for me. I want him to be well taken care of but he has no concerns for what this is doing to me. Maybe this week is for ME....
Going to the gym with a gal from church tomorrow. If I like it think I will join. We are the same age and hopefully could motivate each other. DH does not like the gym...so this is for ME....
May splurge on mani/pedi too....ME time.....
OK off to the grocery store to get clear liquids for DH's colonoscopy on Tuesday...up at o'dark 6am...bleh...going to take my tablet so I will have some games to play while I sit there for 4 hours or so...but he wants to have this so I will be there and drive him home. He will sleep all day and that is fine..will be quiet that way..;-))

Yay for you Dots. We need our ME time. I dropped hubs out for his colonoscopy and then went back to get him. I would go nuts sitting still for four hours. Off to iron so we look nice for birthday dinner

Hi Tony - I love all your images! I wish I could figure out how to get them up or even to change my avatar.
Mama I hope your birthday celebrations go well - it must be formal you are ironing! I never iron for anything.
Nora how is your son feeling? I hear so many people complain they have the flu and are fine the next day. From what I know the true flu knocks you on your butt for a week or two. Hopefully he doesn't have that!
Dottie you definitely need to take some time for yourself! We all need to do that. Because I'm not drinking I think I am feeling less guilty about things in general and am a little kinder to myself. My dh is always indulging himself with something and then I get resentful. Recently I have just been trying to allow myself a few things. Dottie I did a mani-pedi last Friday and it is such a small thing yet makes me feel better. I also joined a gym a few weeks ago and am really enjoying it. I try to go at least 2-3 times a week to make it worth it's while. I am working everyday this week so not sure I will make it.
I also would never be able to sit at the medical center for 4 hours. I dropped him off and then waited for a call and picked him up.
Pauly dinner sounds great! I love the Cheesecake Factory! Let me know if the recipe really does taste like it.
I hope you all have a peaceful AF Sunday night!

Dottie, I feel for you. Try to remember that your dad has Alzheimer's. It's crazy making, I know. It can't hurt for you to cut your visits back a bit. It won't really matter to your dad at this point, and it will save your sanity. :l

Bastet, the good news is, if you get a flu shot, and are unfortunate enough to get the flu (as I was this year), it is thankfully reduced in severity.

I came home early from the cabin a couple of months ago, as I had the flu...by the next evening, I was feeling a lot better. I am a total believer in flu shots. Last time, I was ill for two weeks and nearly got pneumonia.

                              Hi Kids!!!

Wow you guys were busy over the weekend!!! As far as I can tell we had a Jiminy sighting, a successful shoe purchase, some serious ironing going on, and some Cheesecake Factory knockoff meals. LOL I really need to check in on weekends to add to the excitement. hehe Sierra/Adina/WHN has been gone all weekend and I am dying without her! I found out her step mom is having another baby, so they are hoping for a boy this time. By the time this kid is born Sierra will be 17 years old...talk about a spread. She sent me a text that said "Guess who's 3 months pregnant?" and I said "As long as it's not YOU!!!"....HAHA. Anyway she is excited for a new sibling. And hey, better them than me, I say.

My weekend was low key...hugged the dogs and watched Netflix. Skipped the gym and ate junk food. Boy am I on a bad roll...gotta try to reverse this madness this week. I spent an hour last night getting my food all ready for the whole week. Now the tricky part...sticking to it!

Kradle - Check in!!! We are all thinking of you!

So....more madness on the threads huh? I have to say, I am limiting my reading and posting these days. I LOVE you guys so this is my homebase from now on. I am not getting involved in any disputes anymore...I used to fight for the "cause" but all it did was wear me out, and my oponents always ended up disappearing anyway!!

That post about the 20 things dog lovers must know was so sweet...I loved it, and yes it was a tear jerker :upset:

Ok...off to get coffee (yes I'm back on coffee...went off for a month and nothing amazing happened so I said screw it! lol). Back later...and I promise to check in more.

                              Love you ALL!!! :h:h
:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Believe in yourself. You are stronger than you think.

                                Hiya Pookies
Bastet..I am in the minority here for ironing, that's for sure. I always press what I wear. Dunno why. Just me...
Pauly, I want that recipe, too. It sounded good....
I read Kradel's thread and it sound like her visit is going well. I am so happy for her.
I was lazy for the weekend until about an hour before Nana came over so we could drive her to dinner!!!!! Then I did some mad cleaning!!!
I texted Zen over the weekend, but I am concerned she is not posting so I will text again. Ya'll know what a stalker I am.
Things are calm at work. Bri and I rode to get lunch and had a long talk. She admitted that she has always been bossy and brash and has been told that many times, and she just isn't sure she can ever change. I (sweetly) told her she needed to make that change or we would not work out.
I deal with crazy, rude clients all day and I'll be danged if I am going to take it from my team.
                                Back to work.
Niner, if you move her and work with me....coffee is a requirement!! (JK)
                                byyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
