Good Morning Army,

Waves and hugs to all of you from frosty, nipply Wisconsin. Big hellos to Jackie, Dream, Satz, Tips, Molly, Mario, Roxanne, et al. Hey, Satz, I dated a guy once who kinda looks like the baby chimp pic you posted!!:H Well, obviously, that relationship didn't last!!!:H

Tips-You crack me up when say, "Have a LEKKER Monday." I googled Lekker.:H

It's 6:15 AM here and I've been up since Silly O'clock (JC's words). I remember when I would post at 3:30 AM and you would say, "OMG, Rusty! What are you doing up?! Go back to bed!!":H And I'd say, "But, Jackie, my work starts at 4:30, and then I think you said something like, "want to change jobs?":H

Well, must run now. I've picked up a cold and my nose is running like a sieve. Glad I have those Posh Puff tissues handy. Back later.

Well, I've updated my CV, sent it two recruitment agencies and applied for one job in particular. That's a start. Not much happening in this economy, but it's better than doing nothing. Have to stay on until at least end April so that I can get my performance bonus. Equal to 2 months' pay, so can't let that go - it covers the cubs' school fees for the year and then some extra left over. Isn't it ironic? I fall in the top quartile of people in the company in terms of performance, but I cannot be promoted because of the colour of my skin and my gender :upset: Many of the jobs in the market are also reserved for blacks, so that leaves me with even fewer options. We'll see.

Oh Tips, what can I say? Lots of hugs being sent across the mountains. Something will turn up - be proactive and don't ever give up. I quite believe in one door closing and a barn door being opened elsewhere, as one of my authors put it so nicely when I told her that I'd been retrenched.

Only just heard about it now and went for a read.Bloody hell.

Reminds me when they used to do a bar run when they turned 18 here............a shot from every optic behind the bar. Glad that ones seen the dust.
