    SUPER SOBER SUNDAY SHOUT OUTS 9TH FEBRUARY 2014

    Well doesn't Sunday come round quick.............just seems like yesterday I was starting last week's thread........rightio SHOUTER OUTERS.............let us hear you SHOUT it LOUD and SHOUT it PROUD.............the day of the week to give yourself a pat on the pack.

      I do not even think of alcohol - to be honest...... not in the isolating way I used to which is strange
      But then I have simplified my life - maybe too much :H
      I was somewhat bored yesterday evening and that was always my excuse to drink .... but thankfully it didn't enter my head. That would have filled the hours ... but what is the point of that.
      Do I want a life that's just filling in - NO.
      So I am going to now find something to interest me - open up new circles : Meditation - going to a session next 2 Sundays to learn how to do it right :thumbs:

          Still trying, day13 , wasnt going to post until I got to 30 but too many nice familiar names on here to say hello. Spent approx. 6 months sober last yr but will keep on keeping on. Hope all are well x

                    2 years and almost 11 months. I was just thinking this morning about the events that lead to me getting sober. The most horrible humiliating night turned into the strongest desire to end this madness. I felt so low but found the deepest strength from it I could ever imagine. Even through the darkest times in my life in the past almost 3 years AL could not pull me back. I can't beleive it to this day. Alcohol had caused me so much hell but I could not escape it. What changed that night, I can't explain. But I thank GOD for whatever it was.

                    Wonderful sober happy Sunday to all!
                    AL free since March 17th 2011...loving this life. No drinking no matter what.
