Good morning Marioman -- if I didn't know better I'da just thought you were the strong silent type:H
Morning Tweetie --- has life brightened a bit for you?
I was talking to a woman in the library yesterday --- same age as me and her partner died 4 years ago --- she says she 'knows' and 'understands' that her life is over and she's just putting in the days till she dies --- HOW SAD IS THAT!!! I grieved for her in my head --- we had a great chat tho --- daggers from my colleagues -- didn't care --- I'm only beginning the next phase ---- jesus!!!!
Jesus that's truly sad - makes me cry for her .....to think so little of your worth like that?
    She CAN'T DO THAT !!!
She's lost a great love but she's still her own person with lots to give .....

Mornin' Molls- yeah things lookin brighter thanks xxx I remember my Dad saying something similar to that after Mum- he basically said he wished he was gone too. In fairness to him tho he hasn't gave-up and is making an effort to live.

Don't ye be working too hard either!!!

I went for a very long one yesterday morning with Dad- along the coast near us- absolutely beautiful- we came across a pack of seals, musta been over 30 of them just basking on the sand.
Oh Sweetiepeapie, it must have been lovely to see! Had a look at the link - love the scenery! Walk come to an end on Friday, but I'll continue. Missed the shouty lady again this morning - needed my sleep.

That's dreadful - and living (no, not living - existing) with that mindset for four years. Molly, did you do your wise woman act and suggested getting help?

Has Tips never waxed lyrical on padkos? Padkos = food for the road. Stop when travelling between Nowhere and Anywhere, take out the basket and have a roadside picnic. In our family it's always meatballs, boiled eggs, soggy tomato sandwiches, cheese sandwiches, cold chicken, fruit, sweets, coffee. A moveable feast, literally.

Some time ago I visited my bro number 2 and SiL - they lived about 50 kms from me. Nowhere to stop for padkos, so I decided to take the longer, scenic route, packed my padkos and had a lovely time, watching the sea and munching away. Much better than any takeaway, methinks.

Right, end of lecture on the Sociology of the South African road trip, Part 3: Tarmac, treats and toilet breaks.

Sounds real good Dreamy:thumbs: And yer 100%- far better than a takeaway anyday! The Satz wan loves her some soggy sangwiches!!
When I go walking in the mountains with Dad we pack something like a padkos- sandwiches, flask of coffee, bananas and snickers bars- nothing like sitting enjoying the view and some grub after doing a trek
