I did find a loose translation, though - half-caste.

I actually checked Google to see if there was a halfway decent translation - but nothing really gets the spirit - perhaps mongrel; catches that spirit of not-quite-equal. Was going to post a treatise on the intranslatability of language, but thank your lucky stars that I'm on my way out to be fed somewhere. Oh, and my cleansisters have had to learn to live with being called aangenaai. They're called that with great love and affection, though.

Seems that the Army dads are quite busy - does Sweetie's dad not also have a new lady friend? Oh well, Tips, if the two of them are happy together - why not?

Hallo..... my least favourite person in town invited himself over to the people who had invited me for supper. Took over the entire conversation - it was a never-ending monologue.
